C1 gives you more freedom to not use shielders in the entire teamcomp, allowing you to slot in more off field damagers. It not only gives you interruption resistance, but also gives 1 stack of Draconic passive which increases charged atk dmg.
C1 can cost up to 24k primos and it doesn't give as much as a new character would. If you have Zhongli, his pillar can trigger crystallize constantly for the passive and it's very reliable. Also enemies' def reduction from the shield if you stand close. He's objectively one of the best teammates for Neuvillette, idk which character would be a better replacement, maybe Furina but people who pull for both will want to save for Furina anyway.

He doesn't need C1 to function. One thing to note is that the Super Armor thing is NOT the main part of his C1. The Super Armor is just a nice bonus of his C1. The MAIN PART of his C1 is the Draconic stack given to him when on field. Benefit from this is MUCH more than the Super Armor.
Its both. The stack AND super armor lets him drop a shielder and run Furina (without dropping Kazuha and Fischl). He has insane synergy with her burst, so anyone who wants their Neuv to reach max carry potential will need C1 and Furina. Whoever designed his C1 and best comps really thought it through. You can still sub a less optimal pick like Beidou, but you'd need her burst up everytime you charge attack and I'm not sure if that limits his rotations. If C1 only gave the stack and Furina didnt exist, then it would just be a comfort cons because you have no need to run double hydro.

As someone who mains Neuvillette without a single constellation, constant movement is your friend while using his charged attack. Though the next time we get his banner I’m going to pull for his C1.
C1 allows you to do better setups basically and you can kill your shielder for that setup such as Furina and Neuv; Without C1 you're losing a draconic glory stack which is a massive DPS lost if you were to do a weird setup such as Hydro and Hydro

As someone who's been farming Deepwood with him, his beam can hide the cues you need to dodge. Especially if you have other character effects getting in the way.
It depends, I got him c1. Now I don‘t need a shielder in my neuvi teams. Heck I don‘t even need a healer. So at c1 he‘s a really flexibel char (like u can also use 2 hydro chars). It depends what your playstyle is tbh. Neuvi C1 isn‘t necessary, but u‘ll unlock; Easy Mode, that‘s for sure
C1 allows you to: not to be restricted with certain party comps, remember C1 grants him a passive stack aside from super armor and that one passive stack will allow him to be more relaxing to play with. You dont have to sacrifice one slot for fixed shielder and you dont have to be locked in few specific reactions to trigger his maximum 3 stack passive
As a C1 Neuvy haver, I'm gonna say that his C1 really changes how to play him for the better. And the best part of his c1 isn't even his interruption resistance, it's just a little side bonus really. The Best part of his c1 is that with it you can go double hydro on his team and will still be benefitted from Neuvi's talent as long as the other two are from different elements.
I use layla with him, her shield last just as long as his charge attack, plus it applies cryo to enemies which frezes them and further prevents interruption

C1 is kindly like a concenience upgrade, c1 gives super armour and give 1 draconic stack, so you only need 2 other elem reactions to get the 160% damage bonus

My c0 Neuvi team: Neuvi + Xingqui (c4) + Beidou (c1 + sac greatsword) + Venti (c0). Using Xingqui and Beidou bursts for interruption resistance (which is why Beidou is on sac). I'm having a lot of fun with this team so I hope this helps! 😊
Any constellation (or almost any, think Benny Boy's C6 controversy) makes a character better than without it. Question is where between negligibly better and game changing better each C ranks. Less requiring a shielder gives more choice on team comps and the answer can even change over time e.g. if his best team comp contains a shielder anyway. Have him at C0 and beam interruption has never been a big thing so far.
I was thinking of going for c1 but then I realised I have been clearing abyss completely fine with him no stress or struggle with proto amber and 4wt. The fact tht my nuevi is not even in his best possible f2p state and yet current abyss is still a breeze for him justifies enough to not need to go for it
If you want to pull for his c1, its for both buffs, the talent free point and interruption resistance. With c1 the dmg of hypercarry team can be beated more easily and comfy
I was really lucky pulling him together with c1 in a single 10 pull. C1 is actually pretty good especially because you don't need to worry about reaching his third stack. The disruption res is really nice too, especially if you don't want to lose a sub dps or anemo unit to slot in a shielder.

Nah, my hu tao is C0 and i bring her to spiral most of the time. Just learn 2NA+CA+Jump Cancel and you're good. But yeah of course, C1 is a huge thing for her and your wallet :D

Hutao dont need c1 if the player have enough patience and skill to master c0 cancel tech, i have used hutao at c0 still clears abyss at 36 stars, c1 is for those who cant manage stamina management very efficiently and yes c1 is better but as for my gameplay wise c0 still good but compensated with cancels and timing skills. I just pair hutao with xiangling or yoimiya as sub dps c0 hutao still slaps just needed good team comps that will solve her stamina problems.
I am using neuvillette with dehya She has been lv 20 for some time now so glad that I can build her now . Complete team ( neuvillette+kazuha+fischl+dehya) It's working really well.
Yeah wasted 1 slot squad for shielder + wait the shielder cast shield and change chrackter cooldown twice, C1 is worth it by me... even you stay away from enemies , some enemies can teleport in front of you on his attack like lady on fountaint enemies + range attack enemies
His c1 is one of the best constellation in the game for the massive versality it provides. The interruption resistance bonus is a bonus part of his c1. Without c1 + Furina and with c1 + Furina has a whopping 30% increase in damage. And you think it is negligible? Of course no characters need constellation to "play".
i have neuvillette (C0) actually learning to play him is definatly a learning curve but fun experience none the less, getting used to aiming and usng the jet stream is gonig to take a lttle while. . .hes really nice to play, the interupt is something i can get round (i played wanderer for a few months) over all for C0 neuvillette is an 7/10. current set up is neuvillette, dluic, alhaithim and zhongli(he tends to by my crutch as i learn to play characters), eventually will switch out geo daddy for someone like ayaka or wriothesley if im lucky on that banner
Great to hear the progress! I would personally try a few more supports with Neuv, since he wants to be on field. And Diluc/Alhaithim will also be fighting for that position. But, great to hear you're having fun!!
Currently at C0. I will probably go for C1 in his rerun, just to open up a slot for team variation. But yes, to future Neuvillette player, you don't need the C1....yet.
I would say C1 is a comfort constellation, where you only get it if you want to play comfortably without having to worry about certain things like reapplying shields or worrying about range. Plus each shielder have their own flaws like Diona doesn't have 100% shield uptime, Layla having less utility, and Zhongli being Geo and 5* aka the pain of saving for him till his next rerun if you don't have him yet but got C0 Neuvilette.

I think C1 is neat. Now I can play Childe as support with him (before I get Furina, next update or on rerun) and not lose stacks.

@@MeteorFalcon to be fair, in my team, which is Neuvilette, Xiangling, Kazuha and Bennett, his C1 is REALLY useful
c1 makes team building and rotation easy and smooth
You can use any shield really, taunts for mobs, and simply dodging.
His c1 is one of the best constellation in the game for the massive versality it provides. The interruption resistance bonus is a bonus part of his c1. Without c1 + Furina and with c1 + Furina has a whopping 30% increase in damage. And you think it is negligible? Of course no characters need constellation to "play".

i have neuvillette (C0) actually learning to play him is definatly a learning curve but fun experience none the less, getting used to aiming and usng the jet stream is gonig to take a lttle while. . .hes really nice to play, the interupt is something i can get round (i played wanderer for a few months) over all for C0 neuvillette is an 7/10.
current set up is neuvillette, dluic, alhaithim and zhongli(he tends to by my crutch as i learn to play characters), eventually will switch out geo daddy for someone like ayaka or wriothesley if im lucky on that banner
Great to hear the progress! I would personally try a few more supports with Neuv, since he wants to be on field.

The biggest reason for c1 imo is so I can have 2 hydro characters for that 30% hp bonus and still get all 3 sigils
Oh yeah its beyond amazing. Its just not necessary to play him with it.
All characters can clear the hardest content with f2p weapons and on c0 You dont need no constellations on any characters
I have zhongli but i still went for his C1 as a sort of insurance and for eventually getting to his C6

Currently at C0. I will probably go for C1 in his rerun, just to open up a slot for team variation.
But yes, to future Neuvillette player, you don't need the C1....yet.

I would say C1 is a comfort constellation, where you only get it if you want to play comfortably without having to worry about certain things like reapplying shields or worrying about range. Plus each shielder have their own flaws like Diona doesn't have 100% shield uptime, Layla having less utility, and Zhongli being Geo and 5* aka the pain of saving for him till his next rerun if you don't have him yet but got C0 Neuvilette.
Super super agree with this. Which is how all C1s should be imo
If I can build him like in the trial, I'm pretty sure everything will be dead before they even touch me.
But I won't be rolling for that anytime soon.
