    Good Hint. If you open the drawer to the left side of the sink and reach up under the cabinet top and pull out you will find a cutting or prep board that rests on the open drawer. 99% of owners do not know this as it is not in the owners manual. It is a good prep area. Ken

    In regards to the A/C I replaced mine also a1998 190 popular. I did not mess with the back grilles at all and was able to change it from the inside. I agree it was not an easy job but it turned out very well.

    • @RotaryTeamVincent
      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před 2 lety +1

      The only reason one has to remove the back grills is to make sure the baffles are relocated or extended. With some replacement A/C units the baffles need to be enlarged to fit. This is very important to do, to seperate the hot output are from the cooler input air, for the unit to run efficiently. Just check to ensure the baffles are up against the A/C and run right to the grills.

      Still here, but don't do the Sat sessions anymore since return from Covid. Was a lot of work, for the numbers engaged. But still lots of activity on the archived videos. Would be easier if we had help in coordinating presenters.

    I have a 96 Road Trek Versatile.I’ve never seen my rear battery. How do I get to it.

    • @RotaryTeamVincent
      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před 2 lety

      You could look under the seat behind the driver seat where sometimes there is a panel in the seat cavity. Or the other location would be in the driver side rear corner of the storage area. Lift the carpet and remove a plywood panel to locate.

    Water pump on my 96 versatile that is.

      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před 2 lety

      I now see this after my previous respnse to you. Just inside the the side entry door up on the left is a small panel with lights and switches for tanks and water. There is one for turning on the water pump there as well.

    Really good.
    Glad I stumbled onto this.
    Is this just CZcams or sourced from Facebook?
    I have a problem. While camping< I must disconnect the automotive battery or it will be run down with the house battery.
    I assume that has to do with the battery solenoid/isolator?
    There a place to goto to see trouble shooting video at Roadtrek?

    • @RotaryTeamVincent
      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před 3 lety

      I suppose it could be your isolator, but more likely it is is going to be something drawing against your chassis battery. There are lots of tutorials on CZcams how about what causes the battery to draw down. This is not necessarily an RV issue. You did not mention your make and model.

  • @barbararedmon
    @barbararedmon Před 2 lety +1

    Thank you for all this, I still have an issue. I have a 1990 Dodge Ram Roadtrek and my electrical in the RV stopped working. I checked and switched on and off the circuit breakers, and I checked the fuses that are in the glove compartment, but they are all good. Do you know if there is a fuse box for the RV section. And if so where it is located?

    • @RotaryTeamVincent
      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, separate panel at back under the bed on driver's side. Has both 120v breakers and 12v fuses for house.

    Hi I've watched your videos and still have a question. I just bought 96D190P. Original isolator and original converter both work. I need a new house battery. I can't find a deep cycle sealed battery pro that suggests a gel or AGM with original charge equipment. Don't know what I should do. Don't want wet lead acid where I sleep. The gel was the original spec in 96 but the technology may have changed and these new deep cycles need multicycle charger capability. Should I upgrade my converter? Should I upgrade the isolator? Thx

    • @RotaryTeamVincent
      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před rokem +1

      I don't think your isolator or converter are the issue. I believe you just need to check your charger, which is in with the converter, to see if it can charge AGM batteries. On my 00D190V the owners manual says mine is multi stage but not sure of a 96. Maybe ask on one of the FB Roadtrek groups.

    • @terrietalbert4503
      @terrietalbert4503 Před rokem

      Hmmm... I'm having solar hooked up today with GREAT tech from my husbands RV shop he works at and I'm told I need to buy new converter because the LifePo batteries I bought will not work with the old system for 97' Roadtrek that was designed for AGM.

    • @RotaryTeamVincent
      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před rokem

      No need to replace isolator. Check your converter/charger manual to see if it is multi-stage and OK for AGM, which it may be. My 00D190V is. The concern is if the charger always charges when battery gets full and ruins it. A multi-stage unit reduces charging amount as battery tops up.

    How do I turn the sink and shower water pump on.?

    • @RotaryTeamVincent
      @RotaryTeamVincent  Před 2 lety

      You do not say what your make/model/year code is but I'd guess there is a switch on the panel for the pump. Or, check if you have a fuse blown?
