When we share the gospel, love our neighbor, and worship the Lord, we are offending the devil. But we don't need to be afraid of offending him.

Thank God we have technology where we can watch this great inspirational talks a year later. I can see it is necessary that we stay extremely watchful in our choices everyday. It seems like people are making excuses more and more today than ever that it's okay for little sins to justify their actions. It's funny if we had a bump or a sore every time we do the ungodly, what would our appearance look like. Repentance is happiness and it brings peace to the heart and mind it's much better than Pharmaceuticals. Repentance is a gift from our Father in Heaven, just asked for forgiveness and the Lord will change you mentally and spiritually for the better, that is His promise to each of us if we would only repent and follow Him through obedience. Give all away your love and kindness to others. This will draw us further from the darkness of the world and move us closer to the Light of Christ.❤ these BYU talks.

It wasn't an overriding issue back then amongst the student base, believe it or not. The majority of that audience were more cognizant and accepting of a code of ethics that contrasted with other college campuses (this same code of ethics now being scorned by many 'insiders').
The world has changed so much in less than 30 years. And so many 'insiders' prefer the larger culture over remaining a 'peculiar people.'

@@SuperTotoro3 the world has changed, yet the commandment to love everybody is still strong, and unchanging. Compassion, non judgmental attitude, gospel inclusiveness, etc. We have to be careful not to be the blocking stone to our brothers and sisters who are different.

For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing. 🤍🕊

I now know it's ok to speak truth regardless of the perceived safety of others feelings. If this upset you, just wait until you are rejected by the very God you offended by making every effort to accommodate the devil. Ironic...

I don’t think it’s really possible to serve god and not upset the devil I did thought about this so many times I generally don’t want see angry beings it’s uncomfortable to be honest the idea trying not make the devil get angry and pleasing god it’s like juggling between the two it’s like walking on a zebra crossing going in and out between the light and the dark . I struggled for years I was afraid both the devil and god I actually did for a while served both which caused Lukewarm spiritual state I wanted to right things but too afraid of offending anyone which caused comprised suppression of righteousness. We need choose who we serve it’s impossible to please both.

Joseph Smith was a profit, and all mankind will have a chance to repent in God's presence if not in this lifetime,I believe that there should be no prejudice in the church, love brought me into the church,I am a straight man, however I believe we have to love those that are lost and not condemn them to hell, loving God with all your heart soul and might and allow God to serve the justice to never judge anyone which I still do,but I recognize it now,if a gay man are women is willing to follow the commandments including the chastity law, they should have the opportunity to be baptized into the church, after all Jesus Christ said he who is not guilty of sin cast the first stone,he is the only man not guilty yet he didn't cast a stone,we have an obligation to love everyone without bias of any kind,,that's true commitment to the covenant, that's the gentleness of Jesus Christ ..
