Yes that was me that asked why you done it that way. I just assumed everyone done it like me, but i'm the odd one out haha. but what i do is: Undo connectors Undo 2 bolts holding filter/primer assembly to bracket Lift filter/primer assembly up off bracket and slide on filter wrench and undo and remove filter Set primer assembly back on it's bolts On bench remove tap from old filter and add it to new Back at car lift primer off bolts and clean the o ring mating surface and screw on filter Place assembly back on bracket, tighten bolts and re-connect connectors. At no time is the fuel lines off and open to contaminates, and at no time is the filter tipped upside down so no fuel is spilled.
Gday mate I know you on the prado but with the hilux kun26 do they just have the one fuel filter under the hood or they have one near tank also and if the hilux only having the one is it worth splitting the line near tank to throw in a basic filter not interested in the over priced secondary, cheers mate love ya channel
How do you know when bad combustion is occuring? Had my engine rebuilt and I have pictures of the pistons before any cleaning.. tried joining one of the groups to ask but no response..

Isn't molly coat gonna contaminate the fuel coming in contact with the seals and eventually end up in pump mechanisms?

Diagnostics
Age of injectors
Or nothing, replace them as preventative measures.
7yr 170k is my current guide.
Wouldn't it be easier just to take the fuel pump fuse out?
