UPDATE: Due to an overwhelming complaint of the bad Mario Music....I have updated the music to something a little better in my opinion. (You could always turn the volume down if you don't like it. ) Thanks for watching guys and gals!
Does the block need to be annealed after this, or is it good to go when it cools? Saw this technique back in the late 1980's, they resurfaced a brake disc with deep grooves, didn't seem like a good thing to do for a part like that, but a block repair it looks to be a good thing.
A good video, however, could you choose better chiptunes or no music at all? It sounds like someone is playing an NES game without blowing on it first.
@@helenaladelbarrio6732 Utilizamos una antorcha de polvo de pulverización en caliente Eutalloy. Fue un mejor proceso para esta aplicación. Fue mucho más rápido y más indulgente cuando se trata de grietas.
Not a late model Chevy. It appears to be a 348/409 block. I have one just like it with a crack in the water jacket in the same place I am getting ready to weld as soon as the weather warms up so it can be preheated. HATE THE MUSIC
I was thinking the exact same thing! A decent arc welder with a reasonable nickel rod would have had it repaired in much less time! Time is money in the repair business.
All the company needed was a cheap core to display how this stuff works. It makes this demo less expensive to produce. I'd compare it to people who port junk cylinder heads so that they are 100% ready to port good cylinder heads.
That's some very nice drum and bass soft and busy gives the ear's something to do whilst watching a craftsman at work
I think its a great repair process, and looking at the technique and the set up they get plenty of these blocks.
This shop not only does automotive racing machine work, but is also a classic nes dealer. The angry video game nerd approves.
Top Job,Sir 👌

Nevermind about the music...video is perfect! And volume button is stilll there...
Some informative voice over would make sense.
Sorry about the Music guys. I edited from my phone and it was the best option. Turn off the volume if you need to.

Lose the music! Otherwise, a great video about a great subject!

Is the block worth saving? What happens to the overspray that goes into block?
Does the block need to be pre-heated? Thanks for the vid.
Excelente la música. Una pregunta. No era mejor soldarlo (weld)?. Y que era esa máquina que parece una pequeña escoba?
No comprende amigo. Sorry! But thanks for watching!!!
@@dyecoinc3106 Si, por eso pregunté, porque no comprendi.

I couldn't watch the video because of the music...
I couldn't hear the video because of the music.
You are truly a millennial.
@@thomasstuart6861 Yup! Snowflake identified.
Guess he never heard of MUTE!

hi did you used just flame?
where u located I have a block I would like your opinion on
Que soldadura usaste guapo.
You do not need pre-heat for that technique, or was omitted in this video??
Alexeis Companioni fucking idiot
Is that a rare block ?
348/409
hi how much preheat it?
55% nickel stick weld in 30 seconds on preheated block would do it profitable

make it stop for gods sake
so much heat, i think i would of used arctec #3 rods.
It would be a better system for cracked deck or seat on heads not for block
How can I contact u
lot of work for a chevy 2 bolt engine

This is a 348/409 block & will be going back into service.
If block froze and busted that bad all the critical demensions would be fucked up 8 ways to sunday
500.00$ Weld on a 10 Cent Block.....Haha.....Hope it was just for show....Welds looked great....! Spray Weld Cast...interesting...
Actually it's a rare Chevy 409 block
Sometimes it is worth saving common engine blocks in order to keep a car numbers matching.
If you had to shit up a good block for a panzer tank go for it but a late Chevy why waste the time ....
bad music in a video that does not need music= thumbs down
Could you build up a main bearing journal with this?
Heat input and warping becomes a concern. This wouldn't not be the right process.
Music is annoying watching the video
What’s with the stupid pac man music.
Horrible music!!
