San Francisco Del Monte, colloquially called Frisco, is deemed the oldest district in Quezon City.
The name of the district is a combination of "Saint Francis of Assisi" (San Francisco del Monte Church) and "Del Monte," a Spanish term referring to the mountains, as the area is characterized by its hilly terrain.
