Harvest Summer Squash with Me

Could you believe that just in April, this was just an empty lot of compacted, clay, weedy soil that hadn't been touched in decades? I had to pickaxe the ground and amend it with gypsum and compost. By 5/3 I had sown my first squash seeds in mounds, and by 5/10 half of them had sprouted. The first fruit were havested on 6/17 (when this was filmed), and the harvests have been growing each day. I'm already at the point of gifting squash to family and friends, cooking it almost every day, and I'm starting to strategize where else I will put my excess squash.
They cook up with a buttery creaminess, especially when they are harvested at decent (not too large) length. Even the blossoms have been a delicious snack when fried. I've got to show you the recipes soon, so stay tuned!
3 varieties were planted: Zucchini Elite, Cube of Butter, and Black Beauty.
