These women are a national treasure.
There are lots of groups with great harmony, and then there are those select few for whom it is just magic! I'm With Her elevates into that special class - just a treat.
The talent in these 3 working together gives me the chills!
Me too. Saw them at the Peace Center in Greenville,SC. in 2019. Incredible songs, harmony, a musical virtuosity
7:50 - 8:50 is some of the best of the best music I have ever heard.
Rarely hear singing in a round any more... it just gives goosebumps and brings light into my soul to hear it done so beautifully
The ache in Sara Watkins voice just send shivers through me, I'm With Her restores a 66 year old music lovers faith that the torch is in good hands, despite what many people from my generation think.
Anthony Salvati that’s what’s so great about Thile. It’s not just his work and talent but the people he brings together that most people won’t normally see. So many people want to turn on the radio and say music is dead but they’re just looking in the wrong place!!
@@tkbikesnc6079 Exactly right PGA, I am constantly trying to direct my music loving friends to Chris and the Live From Here concerts as evidence that music is alive and thriving if you just make an effort to find it. I found Chris by accident while searching for the song Duncan by Paul Simon a few years ago. Best musical discovery of my life. Got to see I'm With Her on the opening night of their current tour in Connecticut, it was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

When I heard Live From Here was being cancelled, I cried like a baby. It was at the height of the pandemic and felt like the last straw!

They are great without any nations saying "Amen"

This Trio's cover of "Marry Me" sounds a lot like what I would imagine THE Trio's (Dolly, Emmylou, Linda) cover would have sounded like, had they done it. With Dolly in the lead.
But, seriously, that Jerusalem moaning was outa this world!! OMG!!
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BLUEGRASS BANDS -- I LOVE TO HEAR SARAH WATKINS PLAY THE FIDDLE AND I USED TO LISTEN TO HER WITH NICKEL CREEK !!!! I LOVE TO HEAR HER SING ALONG WITH AIOFE O'DONOVAN AND SARA JAROSZ !!!!!
There are other versions of them singing this medley encore on YT, one with opener Billy Strings, and another with Molly Tuttle, both good. However, this performance elevates the listener to a religious experience!! Sara Watkins beautiful breaking voice, their flawless round on Jerusalem Moan. I hope they keep this in their setlist in the years to come. (The I.W.H. show I saw back in 2018 had yet to feature this in their repertoire). Props to the audience for refraining from shout outs, and too much applause at the instrumental breaks, letting the nuanced phrasing, during the quieter parts of the songs to be thoroughly enjoyed.

I saw this during the livestream, and I watched it as often as I could before it went down, worried that I wouldn’t get to see it again. I’m so happy to see it up-it’s one of the best performances from LFH.

They sing like angels and play like the devil. This is my favorite musical video on CZcams and I have to agree, at least for this performance, that you couldn't find a better band in the world.

I love I'm With Her. Ditto the praise from other commenters. On 'Jerusalem' at the end when they come back together after the round and in the ritard of Jeru-sa-lem.. on the third note, Sara Watkins slightly changes the shape of her mouth to emphasize the dissonance. Beautiful! Then they resolve and pull back to finish. I love when they finish with smiles at each other and for making such wonderful music.
Talent is talent..it does matter how old you are, what color of skin...we should always respect talent no matter what...amazing trio
Its something to hear them sing with real joy during 'marry me'. I mean you can hear the joy and excitement in their voices that goes along with the expectation.

Listened to this 25 times or so in the last few months. The whole troika is awesome just really listened to the last 5-6 seconds. It sounds like a silver filled cloud, they way they fade is incredible!
Goosebumps and tears, absolutely great
They sing, they play, they groove, they rock. A great part of a great show.
Here's to a great sounding band, a $25,000 microphone and an excellent sound engineer!

Great harmony on this, ‘I’m with her’ are one of my favorites. I got to ‘live from here’ via Sarah’s & Chris’s version of ‘resonator’. Unarguably the best CZcams song on the face of planet earth. To date.
