  • In this video...I'm keeping up with my cupping practice ft. buenas coffee roasters. Interestingly it's roasted on a Bellweather 100% electiric and automated.
Not a review of the Bellweather, just curious about it since I didn't know they roasted their coffee this way. Coffee was delicious and that's all that matters.

Yo! Long time listener, first time writer. Couple answers for you!
You can purchase outside of their market. You have the ability to start from predetermined reference curves or drawn in your own curve for it to automatically follow.
Shipping from NJ to OH on a full pallet is usually around $275.
Each box ships at $20 ish bucks via UPS.
There is no hands on control option during roasting, only editing profiles in the back end on a computer.
Batch size is a strict 6 pounds so that all of the sensors can track towards the established profile.
If you only loaded 2 lbs in, the roast would end up cancelling out due to sensors reading out of spec.

Was able to get a preview of the machine at the SCA Japan event a while back and I must say, it's a fine looking piece of equipment. I could probably never afford it for my small business, but it was interesting to see up close.

I got a quote for 59k + 3k shipping so they appear to be coming down a bit in price.

It takes the art out of roasting coffee imo. No hands on.
