I purchased a 1 bedroom condo in monte vista off W. Craig place and N Main one block away from Tobin Hill in 2010 for 37k. I had a renter the whole time I owned it while I was living in California. I sold it last year for 249k! Wish I could have Airbnb that place, I wouldn’t sold it!
I remember looking at homes around the Pearl back in 2000s for 30k to 50k, like literally next to the Pearl, but back then it was just an abandoned place! I wish I could have known incredible that whole area would have become! Seriously, you are dead on, the Pearl is the gem on this city.

If they are within the city of San Antonio limits, you do need a short term rental permit. Other towns and cities have their own permitting process, some towns don’t have regulation with short term rentals yet. Hope that helps.
