I find spirit of 76 fireworks ultra expensive. I like Schneitters and Big D's fireworks. I have them shipped. Sometimes a JOBBER for the fireworks company can get 3 bids from shipping companies for the lowest cost. I go pick up at the closest terminal within 30 minutes of where I live because it can be almost double the cost for the truck to deliver to you whether it's a commercial or residential address. I also find close to the 4th of July you wait for the fireworks to get in to the supplier and then they have to send last minute to me for latest 2023 effects for my show. So I go to the warehouse because often it gets to the warehouse from the shipping but if it has to be delivered out from there they get behind. You learn with experience what optimally works and what doesn't. I don't like 200 grammers because they do not have the height I want and the small and less weight base tends to have to be heavily supported from tipping over especially on semi uneven surfaces or a windy day. I do all 500 grammers and up. What I do is you will see on youtube videos that lots of brands have the same cake affect from the same fireworks supplier in China it will just be wrapped with another name and graphics. Knowing that I look for who is selling it cheaper with the best shipping prices and who has most items of what I want. Then I do bulk ordering from 2 to 3 places instead of 10.
That's something I should spend a little more time on, comparing the same fireworks from different brands. I do look at videos of every firework I buy but I typically don't venture out to other companies because those close to me I can avoid any shipping cost. But if a shipping deal is going on and a company is selling their stuff cheaper on top of that then I would probably still be ahead even though I need to pay some for shipping. At least when compared to a place like Spirit. I totally agree though. Spirit is expensive and kind of absurdly so on some stuff. Like their shells. I mean who as a retailer can count on reselling much of their stuff when they are paying the costs they are from Spirit and needing to make a little profit. Anyway, I don't see how they continue to do a lot of business unless its with big time buyers who get their best deals. I absolutely love Schnietters though. They don't have quite as big a selection but they charge the same rates for every buyer big or small. No tiers. And that alone puts them above just about every one else in my eyes. A firework enthusiasts dream.
Some real nice prices on that pro line stuff! Stupid question, but I’ve always hand fired my show until I purchased an Ignite last season…would the clip-on igniters for the Ignite system work on the pro line cakes or would I need to pick up MJGs? Thanks!

Thanks. Good to hear that feedback! I picked them both up. So no shipping costs. I'm not sure what either charges for shipping. Spirit had a shipping discount going on for a while. Schnietters I haven't seen anything like that from though the do always offer a percentage discount on order. This year it was 15% for a two week period. With their costs on cases being lower than anyone else I have seen it seems like a safe assumption their shipping will be decent too. If they have any control at all over that. Spirit stopped doing order discounts a couple years ago.

Just sharing this with as many pyros as possible...I recently purchased about $1500 of fireworks and was going to make the purchase through Spirit of 76, because I like a lot of their products. I get to checkout and see shipping is going to be $400!!! That is an absolute outrage! I put the same amount of fireworks in my cart at Superior Fireworks and the shipping was only $155. At Red Apple Fireworks, once you purchase $1199 or more shipping is absolutely FREE!!! American Wholesale Fireworks shipping was only $179!! Spirit of 76 is completely ripping people off with shipping and it's sad. Do your research and put ALL your money toward fireworks and not toward ridiculous shipping charges.
how they price stuff is a rip off. but it looks to me like they are paying for it. since the 4th I have watched them put more and more product anywhere from 40 to 10 percent off depending on if it's a closeout item or not. they started with just closeout stuff. I wasn't seen their in stock count of each item moving down even after that. more and more they kept putting more stuff on sale. the prices for all those items actually aren't too bad now. at least a lot more competitive with other places. I always pick mine up there so no shipping but it wasn't just their shipping that had outrageous prices.
I hope you have 10k+ subs by the time your 2025 show arrives. I can take a few cakes off your hands at cost if you would like to part with any? I live in KC hit me up if you want to meet up. I shop at all of the stores that you do thorough tours on. I really appreciate you setting me up ahead of time these last few years for my shopping trips. I haven't ordered wholesale before. I am seriously considering it moving forward. Wizard and Pro line items are rare to see for retail sale

Even though I do the superstore tour vids and some others, I still watch some others that other people put up because like you say they are helpful for planning a trip. I'll be hanging on to all my cakes though lol. They all have a part in the show...

Gotcha. If you do wholesale you're wanting to go in with someone so you can order more but not have to keep every cake of each case ordered. Not a bad idea. I've spent all I can on wholesale this year but I'll absolutely keep this in mind going into next year and see what I'm thinking with what I'm ordering. It's a real possibility I might want to give something like that a try.
