Originally estimated at 40 minutes, the goal of this project was to be the very first Black Mesa (mod) segmented speedrun. This project began on the 18th of March, 2019, and ended on the 4th of July, 2019, thus taking 108 days to complete.

In the xen world first level you need around 3-4 minutes one dude needed 6 because he looked at all stuff. When you do some good bhop and use the long jump device too you get it in around 15 seconds. On my channel is a video how it looks like.

I like how it's a reminiscent of the original box boost in Half-Life 1 due to how weird physics are when you push a box and the velocity you gained from pushing the box sideways gives you just enough to jump over the gap

I’m pretty sure Black Mesa uses the source engine, which can trace lots of its physics roots to gldsrc, which ran the og half life game
@@SarcasticGaming13846 Goldsource doesn't require you to push the object into yourself though, In goldsource you fly if you simply try to press A or D while interacting with a box.
Black mesa requires more effort, gotta push it into yourself to take object's momentum and zip off with it.
I really wanna see this animated like that one Breath of the Wild speedrun. I want to see Freeman crawl up the ladder at super sonic speeds like some sort of demon.

I legit want to know just how much he had to train to get to this level, this is just amazing, having to memorize everything, every bug, which btw is the part of this, every jump and knowing the perfect timings. And I know it takes too many tries to get a good run but still, having this level of control and accuracy of your movements is VERY impressive
