I like the fact that guy who installed the prop had a calibrated elbow. I learned that "skill" in the service.
It has to be calibrated with the trusty block of wood.😆

Jet drives are nowhere near as efficient as a prop, so no. Two boats of the same size, weight and HP, the prop boat will be faster. I had a jet boat and loved it, then I got a surface drive prop boat and forgot about the jet, lol.

Why do the race boats have to start off with their engines in gear?
They don’t have a typical transmission that can shift into gear while the engine is running. They use what’s called a “crash box” type trans that is way more reliable but can only shift into gear with engine off.
This is music. It's going to be sad when they have to go electric.
