- A discussion of Arnold Schwarzenegger's affair leads to watching some of Ian Halperin's TV appearances where he talks about the scandal. The show is not pleased by this. A little over a year later, an attempt by Ian to get back in the show's good graces goes as well as you'd expect and Ian's lies are reminisced upon by the show.

opie isn't as funny as ant or jimmy, but he isn't as awful as most guys who lead a multi-player radio show.
i'm no big fan of opie and i'm well aware this is hardly an endorsement, but the show could do so much worse than him in that chair.

Here's what I think happened with Opie's Ian Halperin call that no one wanted. Opie, a bitter, spiteful man with pettiness levels somewhere between Nancy Grace and Wendy Williams and skin thinner than a layer of graphene, wanted to beat Ian Halperin up on the show. However, the first thing Halperin does is to give his condolences to Steve C's family and lament his suicide. Opie then realises "oh, if I beat him up now, it's going to be obvious that I'm the asshole here", so he turns it into a bit and acts like that was his plan all along.
Opie is Willy Loman and Jerry Smith from Rick and Morty rolled into one big-titted package.

I partly agree with this. Halperin had a strange, bad, weasel-y way of evading direct conversation and painfully stretching out his air time with stupid Al-Sharpton Boxing Jill-Nicolini Love-Train Racism schtick -- the Steve Carlesi lead-in was obviously a clumsy re-tread of same -- Opie wasn't having it.
