Learning how to be direct yet kind is such an important life skill! I think being an engineer has helped me with that. Men and women naturally communicate very differently so working with mostly men has helped me learn how to communicate my needs more directly without being super emotional.

Hi Jillz, I just discovered your channel and I am really loving your content. I have noticed going into my 30’s (I turned 30 last November) that I’m getting more attention from men now than I did when I was younger and I think it’s because starting in my late 20’s (at around 26-27), I had to do a lot of inner work which I’m still working. I also realized after getting my current job last year that after a pretty traumatic heartbreak I had at 16/17, I closed myself off from every man and because of the kindness/love/support from three of my male colleagues that I have started to open myself up to the idea of falling in love and I have started (it’s a work in progress) to let go of my fear of showing my love/kindness to a man (even if it’s in a platonic sense)

I have a hard time finding a balance between being firm and being kind/loving. When I’m in that ‘firm’ energy, I tend to come off too masculine and cold. And the same way towards the other end of the scale. It’s a struggle
