Writer and Academy Award-nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg joins us to talk about his latest play, The Revisionist, in which he co-stars with Vanessa Redgrave at Off-Broadway's Cherry Lane Theatre. Eisenberg plays a narcissistic young American writer who visits Redgrave, his distant relative in Poland who is still traumatized by the Second World War. The clash between the two characters and their family values, lead to the revelation of a heart-wrenching secret that changes both of their lives. In a freewheeling conversation, the astonishingly forthright Eisenberg discusses how he went from being a kid doing children's theater in Queens, to being a celebrated and accomplished actor/writer, now appearing in his own work opposite one of the world's most legendary actresses.

Wow this interview was amazing! I actually had the pleasure of seeing Jesse's play and I loved it! The script was great and Jesse Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave constantly kept the crowd laughing. The play was very real and in the end much of the people around me were surprised, but basically blown away by the ending.
As a huge Jesse Eisenberg fan, it's great to see him being recognized for doing what he loves. He is such a genuine person and this interview really shows that.

It is wonderful to see Jesse in such an extended candid interview. You really get some insight into him. Most TV interviews are so superficial.
Also, it is insightful to see such a wide range of talent on Jesse's part that is usually overlooked in other interviews.

he seems so relaxed
The bit of the play that they described kind of reminded me of 'Everything is Illuminated'

Jesse is the best
interesting to watch, esp. because hardly ever Jesse is asked questions that allow him to elbaorate a little more on his work. and the Polish accents are so fun, 01:19 - they even bothered to get a Polish juice.
Jesse presented at the Tony Awards, however, I missed his bit. Wonder if someone will upload it.
