Karl Jacobs is another good Creator, not just because of MrBeast or 100 Thieves . SapNap and GeorgeNotFound are also cool people with their funny videos like Manhunt or Block Shuffle . I think the new update coming out actually fits well with the last part, the miner went too deep into the mine and encounters the Warden, since this is the first time the miner has ever encountered the beast his first response is to run the other way, not knowing the creature is blind and is highly sensitive to noise and echoes. The whole experience is him running away from this beast and making it out onto the surface.

The addition of cave noises already feeds into this fear of not being alone. We’re all aware that we’re all alone in a. SINGLE-player world. Yet, you get that lingering feeling you aren’t. Single player Garry’s Mod to me is basically a horror game. I cannot bring myself to play Garry’s Mod by myself. I’d always need someone to play it with me. Same goes with Minecraft. I’ll enjoy the game for a while in single player and then get spooked and start to panic because of this fear of either being alone or not being alone.
It’s just bizarre how indecisive my brain is. I’ll fear being alone, and I’ll also fear not being alone. Why I fear not being alone is something I ask myself so many times. I’ll always conclude with, “there could be a monster out there”, but not even that answer satisfies my curiosity.

I have a theory of my own: the theory goes that the miner is the person who somehow survived the rail crash incident. He desperately tries to find a way to get to the surface, but fails. The breathing sound would be the miners last breath before initially passes away. The flint and steel sound is him cooking and eating his last meal while the warden is still in pursuit of the miner. Whilst trying to find a way to the surface, the miner accidentally stumbled upon an unknown creature, which is the warden not knowing that the creature was blind his first instinct was to run the opposite direction not knowing that the creature goes off by sound. In conclusion, it was the warden that killed the miner. Thanks for reading the theory of mine!

The best thing about minecraft cave sounds is that without hearing it multiple times you can’t really understand what’s making that noise
Like the roar sound, if you think about it, no monsters are hiding in caves that would be scary. It’s just zombies skeletons creepers spiders and all the others
But each mob has defined sounds, a zombie goes berrrhhh so when you hear that you know a Zombie is near
Skeltons make bone noises and spiders making hissing noises as-well as creepers.
But that roar sound, no mob you’ve seen before is capable of making that noise, and with how little time it plays for, you start to panic and wonder
The biggest fear is fear of the unknown, and these unexplained sounds are just pure nightmare fuel for panic attacks.
And they are the soul reason that I have ambience off AT ALL TIMES while playing Minecraft

After putting both theories together, it seems like monsters attacked the mine. The music disc miner was running away, while the others took mine carts and died in crashes during the commotion. The music disc miner seems to be the only survivor.
The player really seems to have come at just the wrong time, the last humans dying off as their civilization falls to monsters, villagers weighed down by illagers to prevent them from advancing and working together, the other dimensions being placed where humans once evacuated to, only to die off in those places as well. These theories seem to portray the end of humanity to monsters.

The trains locomotive was scrapped and all pieces were never found. All the ghosts of the train haunt the mine. I had another theory about cave sounds that I was thinking about that's honestly *far* more creepier. One of the conditions for cave sounds is of course, low light levels, right? Conditions low enough for mobs to spawn. Gameplay wise, this means that cave sounds function as danger warnings to players. Now, what this is basically telling me is that mobs that spawn in caves and cave sounds are from the same source, and here is where we get into creepy implications. Hostile mobs are more or less spontaneously generated out of thin air in darkness, right? Same as the sounds. So what if, and bare with me here this is going to get wild, darkness in Minecraft acts as portal or vessel for things outside of the world to appear inside it? Cave sounds often feature sounds completely unheard anywhere else in Minecraft. Aircraft engines, scream-like noises, breathing, and incoherent whistling. What if darkness acts as a gateway to other worlds, with mobs being simplified creatures translocated from them. Here's a few theories on some:
    1. Creepers are military machines or artificial life forms. Their function is more or less similar to the idea of a suicide bomber. Very simple in function and probably easier to create then something that can aim a weapon. I lean more towards them being machines due to their bizarre faces that seem to lack function. It seems to me it's simply painted on or holes cut into panels for psychological purposes. One of the cave sounds heard is the sound of an aircraft engine, possibly a turboprop like a C-130 or similar aircraft. This may be sounds from the world Creepers are from.
    2. Skeletons are from a world somewhat like Dark Souls, with magic allowing them to move and come alive. They could all be duplicates from some sort of defeated cursed archer legion, which is why there are so many. Strays are simply veteran skeletons who stay in the ice regions because of it's similarity to their home. They improvise clothing from killed animals and possibly work with Witches to acquire tipped arrows. Their world is cold and bitter, with howling winds creating vortexes through the mountains and trees. These can create the howling and sharp sounds sometimes heard in caves.
    3. Zombies are an interesting case. They have an eerie similarity to the default player character's clothing that's hard to miss, but another similarity to notice is that, while the heads of zombies look different to the player they are all the same. This could be a case of translocation from a world very similar to Minecraft only with two differences: 1. Zombie infection can occur somehow. And 2. "Steve" is not the protagonist. Remember how I said that many skeletons are duplicates of each other, to explain their numbers? There is a possibility that all Zombies are exactly the same person created by one significant event from another world, or from multiple worlds. Familiar sounds such as blazes breathing or slamming doors may come from this source.
So time for the final terrifying implication: What causes the translocation of sounds and creatures from these other worlds? It's my belief that the fabric of the Minecraft world itself is based on visual perception, much like how the game only renders blocks you can see. Darkness creates an "unstable space" that's thin enough in it's "realness" to cause other worlds to seep through from their own darkness, usually only in small enough ways to let sound through but occasionally large enough for creatures to accidentally fall through. The implication is thus: could any world be linked by this "darkness" to Minecraft? And if so that opens up the doors to the awful and terrible beings that could exist within the multiverse, who are only too large to cross the gaps into the Minecraft world. They might create some of the sounds that are completely unidentified. Imagine a massive dilapidated shelter built around a black hole in a dying universe, with corrupted computer systems broadcasting strange tones throughout the pitch blacks halls, seeping into the Minecraft world. Imagine primordial beings or 4th dimensional creatures phasing in and out of their worlds, making awful clicking that gets heard only by the thin darkness under hundreds of feet of rubble.
Imagination was always what made Minecraft a terrifying game. It was never what you could directly see, only what you imagine being out there that you could not.

  • @TriNitroT
    @TriNitroT Před 3 lety +5

This is my theory of the Cave Sounds (and the 2 music discs)
this post is pretty long so if you want to then read ig lol
Steve (or player) was a Miner and worked in Mineshafts. He could have been in two locations:
1, the minecart that caused it (the one the creeper blew up), or a minecart which the main minecart collided into, and I have reasons that both of these could be true
-Cave sound 6 (the engine) plays first and plays for pretty much the entire time leading up to the crash
-14 happens, then right after 15, which is the creeper and the explosion
-Cave sound 1 (whistle) plays as the minecart speeds into the crash and 11 is the wheels of it
-10 and then very shortly after 12 plays right before the crash
-17 is the minecart crash (and as the big climax being the crash), and with 2, 5, 9, 13, and 16 happening at either the same time or seconds apart from each other
-4 plays a bit after, with 3 also being a bit after
-soon 18 plays, which causes 8 to play in return
    -minutes afterward, 7 plays
-then 19, which is probably an enderman, gets triggered or in the anger state towards steve (the only survivor of the crash, and in return starts discs 11 and 13)
    Theory 1:
Steve was in the Minecart which caused the collision. When the Creeper blew up, Steve probably would have gotten blasted out of the Minecart, which might seem unlucky, but it might have saved his life by not going in the real crash. This makes sense because you hearing the creeper sounds vivid and hearing echos the minecarts getting softer instead of louder
    Theory 2:
Steve was in the Minecart which the first one collided with. Steve might have made a last-second bailout, which also makes sense because of hearing the collision part pretty loudly. (i honestly think that the first theory is better but this could still be possible)
    Disc 11:
-I won't get into too much description in what happens, but its probably steve getting chased by the enderman, and trying to light a flint and steel for something, and at the end of it you can hear steve running from the enderman and faintly hear what sounds like a dog death.
disc 13 is just ambiance for disc 11 lol, nothing else to say about it
Once Steve escapes, he is traumatized by what happened to him, so whenever you go near a cave as Steve (or player), a cave sound plays, which is just a memory of what happened
tl;dr: cave sounds and music discs are connected and are the reason why steve hears the sounds

      @sockaloupe  Před 3 lety +1

This is my theory on both the discs and the noises: (they both link btw)
    The disc theory
A well known miner, known as Steve, went deep into a cave. Steve tripped on a rock that connected wall. The roof started to rumble as Steve got up and ran. The roof fell behind him, blocking his only way out. Steve stresses about getting out but as soon as the rumbling stopped, Steve tried to break through the rubble wall. He quickly started sweating, like there was a fire burning right beside him. Steve started to breath deeply as he felt something go through him. He started to hurry, just wanting to get through to the surface. Suddenly everything went black so he tried to light his flint and steel. Steve coughed as he struggled to emit light. Steve thought he saw something as his light sparked. He didn’t want to light it anymore so he rushed, trying to escape the wrath of this monster but as he was a few rocks away, a man with glowing white eyes that resembled Steve perfectly flew towards him. Steve held his last breath. He was gone. Vanished.
    Cave noises theory
A subway train goes through it’s normal path. Recently, the miners had mistakenly opened a large wall that lead into the mine. The radio echoed through the train while the orchestra was setting up. Just before the train reached the hole, a man that looked like the famous Steve Minecraft with white eyes floated onto the train tracks ahead. The Steve-like man sent a yellow creature that created fire towards the subway train. (This fire creature was later named a “Blaze” and was later found in the hell-like area that Steve-like man created.) The driver, not knowing what to do, sent the train flying into the mine. The mine had a bridge that was halfway built and the train was heading in that direction. The radio started to glitch and the orchestra’s instruments went flying across the carriage causing deep noises that flooded the mines tunnels. The train killed many miners and, finished by falling of the unfinished bridge, killing everyone onboard. Over 100 people and 10 miners were killed. The Steve like creature was later named Herobrine. The angels of the passengers can still be heard, trying to flee the train and the demonic laughs of Herobrine can be heard. The mines were never touched afterwards.
This is my theory! It is a little more gruesome but I think it’s a cool theory.. Thanks for reading, have a great day!

When I first heard the cave sounds in Minecraft, I thought it was a hidden enemy nearby or a sign that something was about to happen. I kept my guard until I found out it was just cave ambiance. But it still feels unsettling, and I always wondered about its meaning. Now I will imagine your story when I hear the cave sounds, making it even eerier. Also, there is a game called Pikmin 2, which has caves to explore with eerie cave sounds similar to Minecraft. What is it about caves and being deep underground being creepy in general?

I think 19 is the sounds of a wooden structure creaking as an engine makes it's way away from the station.
The shriek at the start is the wheels squeaking as they unwillingly start moving again.
I live near trains and they tend to squeak a bit when starting and stopping, especially when rusty.

They aren't random. If you press f3 there is a mood tab with a %. If it reaches 100% a cave noise will play and it will reset to 0. It's determined by how dark the place you're in is. It's complicated.

Heres my take: Steve and a large group of miners get into seperate minecarts in groups of 2 through a mineshaft to mine, Steve along with another miner take off last because of the engine breaking down, as they hurry down the rails they hear a creeper explode, screaming, rocks tumbling, and minecarts falling. They slam on the brakes but their minecart crashes into another, the miner with him infront dies from the impact, but Steve is left narrowly surviving. He climbs out, and sits next to the minecart as his vision starts to blur and his ears ring, he passes out, but wakes up what seems to be hours later face to face with an enderman. He seems to have angered it, as it begins to screech. He, with the last of his strength, runs away. The enderman begins to catch up, he grabs his bucket of water and splashes it into the enderman, it screeches and falls back. He desperately tries to light a Flint and steel as the enderman gets back up and begins chasing him again. Steve sees light and charges towards it. He narrowly escapes the mine and limps on to the surface. The enderman loses him as Steve, still wounded from the crash, realizes all of his items are gone. He falls to the ground, and passes out. What seems to be hours later, he wakes up. With no items, he tries to start a new life to forget everything that happened. (Hence starts the events of a new minecraft world.) He developed PTSD from the entire accident and that's why the ambient sounds play in caves, because of his PTSD. (Feel free to discuss in the replies cus this is just my theory :3)

I actually think that the sounds where you hear the miner's last breath, the creeper's hissing and minecarts crashing are made by the ghosts of the miners trying to warn the player about the dangers of the mine and the fact they they could die in order to make them get out of the mine and save them or maybe the player is one of those miners who survives and has hallucinations of the incident, but i think the first one is more plausible since if you had an incident in the mines why would you go back there on purpose?

( Before you start to read, please, translate my comment portuguese Brazil to english)
