- Hey everyone! New LOVEBITES album 'Judgement Day' is out now!
They were my very first introduction to the japanese metal/rock scene (randomly picked up 'Clockwork Immortality' in a store). This could definately be the album of the year, but we will have to see what else will come. I can definately say though that this album is definately my favourite by Lovebites so I can't wait to hear where these fantastic musicians will go from here!

Album of the year? No I prefer to say best album in the history of metal because at 71 I have never heard better!
Well I would say metal is so diverse and can be very different that it's impossible to compare some of it.
It's absolutely fantastic though, that's undeniable 😉
Feels like every single member pushed it to the absolute extreme limit of their capabilities on this one. Would love to see if they can play this as good in a live concert.

An instrumental eargasm midway to give Asami a break before the big finale.
This is on a par with Painkiller as a stand out moment in Metal history. Not wishing to sound arrogant or smug, but for months I kept saying that the new album, when it’s released, will be a milestone, metal’s “Sgt Pepper”. Of course it’s one thing to say it, it’s another to hear the finished article. But this shows why the Wolfpack exists. Such brilliant musicians, and at the same time, friendly and down to earth people deserve to be lauded for their work. The word is bandied around a lot when the topic is Lovebites, but the album IS a masterpiece.
In this song Haruna seems to have 4 or 5 arms and play all elements of her drummset at same time!! Our beloved pocket nuclear reactor at maximum power 🥰🥰
Album of the year? Yes it is!...This album is miles ahead of what I've heard from the new Metallica and A7X albums or any Japanese band for that matter.

You know it's good when the album of the year comes out in February. The thing is, they will get even better. Imagine when Fami has more songwriting imput. There is no stopping this incredible band.

holy sh......that was amazing.... the guitars Mihaco and Midori are MADDDDDD... the bass Fami it's going craaaazy, Haruna it's FANTASTIC crazy drummer AMAZINGspeed she had . Asami voice sound much better too. I've loved your reaction it's what i think too about that new Lovebites..are my preferite heavy metal band i'm getting addicted to that sound.
Ye this song is my fav from the album, and just straight up top3 favorite from Lovebites!!

Yeah, it's a great album. Musicianship-wise, they definitely moved up a gear, and they were already in top gear. I'd probably still pick Electric Pentagram songwriting wise, but even then Judgement Day's a very close second for me.

[Miyako]
As for "Soldier Stands Solitarily", I had a demo of it when I was working on the "Glory, Glory, to the World" EP (2021).
It had a completely different shape than this one, except for the chorus.
The chorus was punchy and had a good melody, so I wasn't satisfied with it as it was.
This time, I restructured it and reincarnated it.
In Miyako's mind, she thought the BPM was too fast, so Miyako said in her mind to Haruna, "I'm sorry," "If you lower this BPM, it will feel different!" He said.
So in Miyako's mind, Miyako said, "Haruna can play at this BPM," and"If you don't play like this, it won't sound cool!"
With that in mind, Miyako entered the bass line into the software.
At an album presentation at her home, Miyako said, "Asami & Haruna, I'm sorry! and wrote it down and projected it on the screen.
Asami's belt was very high, and I believe that Miyako apologized to Asami lovingly on the screen.

I have 5 Japanese magazines that contain interviews about the making of the new album "judgment day", "Why did you choose Fami?" and "How Miho left the band." There is no statement by Miyako or Midori that "Miyako took guitar lessons from Midori.

Miyoko said that she always felt "annoyed (≒「カチンときていた」Japanese)" when she saw comments like "Miyoko can't play fast.
Miyako responded that the character distinction between Miyoko and Midori during the performance is "Miyoko is melodious" and "Midori is shredding".
In fact, the solo parts in "LOVEBITES" are composed according to Miyako&Midori's characters.
According to Miyoko, there is a big difference between "I can play fast, but I don't have to, so I don't play" and "I can't, so I don't play"

This is a contender for album of the year most definitely. However, you should give Saiseiga's album Nostalgia a listen. Super underrated band.

This song sounds a bit like Miyako could have drawn inspiration from something by Amon Amarath, but with a much longer solo section.
