Nice video and really helpful tips!
Glad to hear it!
Good job
I am curious. How good is this way of doing things vs datadive?
Good question. Hard to compare. It might also be a personal preference. If you are not using any or one of these tools, sign up for their lowest tier or trial and test for a short period to see what works best for you.
We got additional answer from someone who has experience working with both tools: If you were meaning to compare doing manual keyword research or doing keyword research using other tools versus using Datadive. Datadive simplifies the process of finding your best keywords by filtering right away from your selection of top competitor ASINs and giving you X number amounts of highly relevant unqiue keywords. Additionally, Datadive also provides outlier keywords. these keyowrds although may not have the big numbers of search volume, it may still provide some opportunities to capture sale and new market if you are willing to target it and get indexed on it.
Sorry but filters were not applied correctly. "Relative Rank" 1 to 30 does not make any sense. It should have been "Competitor Rank avg " 1 to 30.
Hi, this strategy is called KW Research - Competitor Cerebro.
From the Xray part, we selected 1 ASIN as our product and as the main ASIN. That is why it makes sense to filter the Relative rank as it pertains to how much the competitors are outranking the main ASIN. This metric is important because it shows how many of these keywords do the other competitors outrank in comparison to the rank of the main ASIN. You will now discover those missed opportunity keywords as they can be most of the time be very relevant to your product and you will now try to index more and outrank the competitors.
@@orangeklik I am new to Helium10 and would appreciate your reply to this! Does setting Relative Rank as you've done in the video not mean that the resulting keywords will be those for which the main ASIN is ranking on page 1, relative to the selected competitor set? And not those for which the competitor set is ranking on page 1?
To see the keywords for which the competitor set are outranking the main ASIN, you should rather set Relative Rank to 30 - max (no upper limit)? Or would it be Competitor Rank Ave of 1-10?
And a follow on query. Your product is selected as the main ASIN, but then in the filtering stage you refer to that product as the first competitor? Did you include your own product in the ASIN selection, or was it 10 competitors only?
