Blunderbuss just has a wider bore, pellets and more powder. That's just canister shot. I also just looked it up and the standard Napoleonic 12-pound cannon had a 4.62 inch diameter. Blunderbuss is generally 20 gauge (0.615 inch diameter), so it would take about 7.5 blunderbusses to rival the power of a cannon
