Good video ! What are some benefits in the coast guard ?

They have your traditional benefits for example; Medical insurance, Retirement programs, Schooling, Discounts, Travel, Paid housing. It can go on forever....
Check out their website when you get a chance to really inform yourself with all their benefits.

If you plan on making a career in Coast Guard are you locked into your first choice? Example if you go into Culinary right off can you change over to something else after your first 4 years or are you stuck in your first choice. Thanks you.

Great question! Right now the Coast Guard is allowing some members to switch over to critical ratings, but it is a long process at times. If for some reason you just can't decide on what Rate to choose you can try going in as a Non-Rate. They have bonuses attached to critical rating so if you need some money and one of those rates catch your attention it could be a good choice.

Im waiting on waivers for the coast guard, im prior service for a short time in the air force but keep making videos like this there is not much content for the coast guard at all info is not very easy to get.
