I always enjoy your videos about boots and hats! Keep up the good work.
Awesomeness, I love that shop so much I designed my closet room after that style. 💯
RRL is the best Brand ❤
Hey CJ! Yea we definitely have similar taste.love the hand tooled boots. I have seen some recently that i put on my list to get.I started about 10 yrs ago with kramer horsehide holsters and belts.I have been wearing 4 or 5 different pair of anderson beans and upgraded to 3 or 4 pairs of olathe boots.LIke the redwings its all addictive.lol.cheers and enjoy. That is quality!
Nice...broguing and hand tooling
Great review! I too am a huge lover of the RRL line. Thought many times about getting these boots but haven’t yet. But man, have I dropped a load of cash at the store in Nashville over the last 3 years!
To my eyes, these boots have a sort of Wingtip Oxford dress shoe vibe but without question they are absolutely gorgeous! I have a pair of Cristobal Romero vintage boots that are somewhat similar in color and shaft type. I was told that they are custom made. I found them on a Goodwill auction site and got them for almost nothing(no one bid against me). Still, you have "Da Bomb"! Wear them in Good Health. Be a Boot.
When I saw the Black version in person I thought the same thing: Wingtip Oxford shoes.
Thank you
Congratulations on the Cristobal Romero boots.
These are truly grail boots. Wish I could afford RRL
These are fancy. I didn’t even want to know the price. Keep shining.
Great looking boots,I would like to find a pair of western boots, but a version of an original long wingtip brouge shoe, now that would be cool,I think
I’ve heard you say you don’t like blue jeans in a couple videos. I want to suggest you try a pair of cinch silver label with the adrenaflex material. I may be spelling that wrong but if you go in a western west store and ask for that, they should know what it is. They are like wearing sweat pants. I hardly ever 11:00 wear my other jeans now. I have no idea how they would compare to chinos or the trousers you’re wearing in this video because I’m just an old red neck from texas. But they are, by far, the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn.
Who makes that black vest you are wearing, that's real slick CJ. nice tastes.
I’m usually a size 42 for shoes. Should I get a 42 for these boots? Do I stick TTS OR GO up or down on these? I’m based in Australia so it’s not easy to get
The black looks awesome as well, but $500 more😮 they must use gold nails on the heel. 😉
The black ones are horween shell cordovan which is one of the most expensive leather types research it its worth the 500 upcharge but yeah in general RRL is pricier than it should be but consider it being still a designer brand
Hey CJ, how do you know Rios makes these boots, I haven’t found any information on that 🤔 do they make all of the plainview boots? Also I’m sure I asked you before but I can’t find the comment, how do you size vs Iron Rangers? Cheers man
I have a friend who works for RRL. The Rios rep came up from Texas to speak to them about the product and future projects. I go a half size up from my Iron Ranger size because Rios boots usually come with a full insert.
@@CJCook oh alright well, then that’s a guarantee 🙌 it’s funny that they describe it as good year welted, I thought Rios boots were handwelted in a channeled insole, since I got your attention, do you know anything about that?
I finally got a response. I apologize for the delay. Rios of Mercedes uses a channeled leather welt.
No more Redwings?
@@CJCook Having seen a little of your collection C.J., I think you may have exhausted their inventory. 👍
Close to two (2) centuries ago the Spanish fryers arrived in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Part of their legacy was the tanning and curing of leather boots. Of course, that includes saddles and saddle bags! My prize is a hand tooled sheath for my bowie knife. Lots to love!
