The NASA Glenn GVIS Team created a realistic and interactive 3D Stirling Engine that was modeled for customer outreach and educational purposes. The virtually modeled engine is fully functional and depicts the inter-workings of the system, including gas compression and flows, thermal heat transfers, power generation, and general system power-generating functionality.
