Hey TopFlight family. Great tips. Your villa was definitely outstanding. The butler was included but was the private chef? Hiring a driver would be my choice. Oh. No Uber ? But they did have Grab. Good to know need cash. So like back in the day. Cash on delivery. Those swings are crazy. Those guys use their whole body to get that momentum. I could not. Walking through that gate in the blue and white is amazing. Do you know if they have plus size sarongs? A lot of the things to do is now is the time. Be adventurous. I’m pushing 60 and an orthopedic challenge now so I experience through your and others videos. Didn’t know Bali had water issues. Oh no. Religious and traditional sites must be respected. Thanks for watching! I’m not sure about plus size sarongs! I guess worst case you could wear two together. It’s just one big piece of cloth so you can really customize it to fit!

Hello I am really enjoying these videos. We are going to Okinawa late July so I definitely enjoyed those videos. Still deciding on airfare. Zipair was high on the list , honestly which one should I really look into? My son visited some of the places your family went to in Tokyo. Great advice! And that makes sense that the words "Bali Belly" are offensive to locals. I think my family has very similar "risk-tolerance" levels to yours and not wanting "too much" adventure. How did you end up getting to/from dinner if your rides would cancel? Did it work for you sometimes, or you started planning everything in advance with a driver?

Haha yeah it was a mess. And you saw Serge struggling too. I forgot to mention it in the video but basically his legs were too long to fit under the handlebars 😂 so it was not good all around! Thanks for watching!
Grab and Gojek work beautifully for car rides OUTSIDE of Ubud. They're not allowed to operate in many areas of Ubud to protect jobs of local taxi drivers. Nearly all day clubs are kid friendly and it is one of our favorite parts about living in Bali! Titi Batu and Jungle Fish in Ubud are both super kid friendly. I would also suggest not using DEET on children as it can cause a slight chemical burn on their skin (which I learned the hard way). Utama Spice makes a nice one locally here that works well and if you're coming from overseas, look for one with picotin vs deet in it as it is safer for kids. Great video that will really help people see what a trip to Ubud is like!

How many days did you stay in Bali? We were also there during the week of Nyepi last month.
Very nice quality video presentation. Also, unless I am wrong, I believe you mentioned an accommodation budget of around $350/day; that puts you into a villa that very likely was built by foreign money with most funds going to foreigner pockets, a heavenly accommodation, yet also a scar on that very rice paddle land that makes Bali a special place. Just sayin'.
Yep, this is something I realized only after we got there. If you watch my video all the way through, you’ll find the whole section I dedicate to discussing overtourism and things travelers can consider doing to spread the money to actual locals.

Hi Carmen! Was it easy to show your vax cards and get a visa on arrival as Americans? I'm finding tons of conflicting info about entry requirements.
We actually got ours in Jakarta and it was fine! I think they are mostly restricting visa on demand for visitors from Russia and Ukraine. If you have a U.S. passport you should be fine.
