Hi Karen,
The Lord rescued me in 1989. I went to a Hunter’s meeting in Battle Creek Michigan and you sang this song. I knew so very little about gospel music, I thought you had to stand very still and sing with little passion. It encouraged me to see the freedom and the fire that you had while you sang. You gave me the courage to take “He That The Son Has Set Free” and sing that as my deliverance song for the first ten years of my walk with the Lord.

I do not understand why a man would get so upset about a woman teaching teenagers when you men of this generation who are supposed to stand up and protect these children and be godly men are more interested in worldly things than teaching the word of God. I was trying to witness to my neighbor, who lived across the street... they've since moved. I took a DVD to her house one day.. it was one of those left behind movies.. she said she'd watch it.. I used to babysit for her, so I was always coming in and out of her house.. I walked in, the day she said she'd watch the movie.. I found her sound asleep on the couch.. Any other movie, she'd be wide awake.

You don't sing to satan. You don't talk to him at all. You R-e-s-is-t him. According to Scripture, you humble yourself before the Lord...that's facing God, and having your back to the evil one. It's looking straight up to your Heavenly Father, and let Him deal with the devil. You resist the devil by rejecting any sin you're hiding (pornography online, or unforgiveness toward someone who hurt you, etc. etc.). Then, being clean in your heart because of the blood of Jesus, you put your mind on Jesus, obey Jesus, walk with Jesus. This kind of obedience brings you joy, because you allow the Lord to be your Defender, as He says in His Word He will be (if you allow Him to). Sure, the evil one will try...he tried with our Lord Jesus when He walked on earth. But as we examine ourselves and keep ourselves in the love of God, our Great Shepherd will take His rod of iron and beat the devil off.

It is a shame for a woman to speak in church. As in all the congregation of the saints, women should remain silent. And how dare you sit in front of an audience, talking about the Lord, and wear a skirt that you have to pinch your knees together so nobody sees up your skirt.
Those words against women preaching that were supposedly said by Paul are according to good Bible scholars a forgery written by someone else using Paul's name. Paul was not against women. In fact he said that there is neither make or female as we are all one in Christ Jesus. Yes, there are many contradictions in the Bible and this is clearly one. The words written against women preaching were written after Paul's death and we was not around to be able to defend himself.

It was God who created the human body and it is not evil. It is not wrong to admire God's beautiful creations. I know of too many people who preach against lust and sex and are later caught in affairs doing the same things they are against.
Human body is not evil. But to dress in a way to tempt men is evil, as it creates a stumbling block. Men should not be assaulted sexually by women who want to expose themselves in church, especially. The point is, why should a woman draw attention to herself. And why would she do anything that would not help her brother walk right? Isn't that destroying her brother and not walking in love? And what is your point about men who preach against lust and later are caught in affairs? Some men fall, but many men preach against lust, and don't fall. The point is that God has a standard of conduct HE expects of us, and that is what we all must strive to live by.
