Update! So i finally got a hold of an RG Nano so now I have both the FunKey S and the RG Nano and both are fantastic! The clamshell design on the FunKey S helps protect the screen better and I love how it just automatically turns on when you flip it open. The buttons are less wiggly too. The RG Nano is very premium feeling. I put some MP3s on it and with the included headphone adapter they actually sound pretty decent. The GUI for the music is a little wonky though as it doesn't seem to show the full title of the song unless I go into another menu. I put a "cut your own size" screen protector on it, so I have taken it with me as it fits very nicely in the little pocket in my jean's right pocket. Just gotta make sure I don't have anything else in that little pocket. 😂
I've got the nano: it feels really premium and it's awesome, but I must admit the tiny screen severely limits its usability. Great video, you earned a subscriber!
I feel the same way you do. Each one has it's charm and it's hard to choose between the two. I like the clam shell of the Fun Key, but the buttons, sound, and metallic feel of the RG Nano. I would definitely pick the nano if it was a clam shell. Though I do wish the screen was at least 3" as I'm sure the older you are, the smaller screen would be harder to see.
I have large Man's hands and 40 year old eyes. The original Miyoo Mini with the hi-res 2.8" screen is as small as I could possibly manage, even then I only use it in short bursts. Nevertheless, a great video.
The Q36 is much more playable than the FunKey S IMO, the buttons on the FunKey S make it nearly unplayable, never tried the Nano though, it may be as good as the Q36.

The RG Nano is a fantastic tiny handheld I must admit I don't take it out with me for the reasons you said I have seen there is a tiny key case that fits aparantly 😊😊😊

It's not exactly the same OS, anbernic took funky OS and made changes to it, it is open source so that was enough for them
