How are you all?
I finally managed to get another video out but I apologise for THE STATE OF ME!!! I honestly wasn't sure whether to post it or not...I've had a cold for like, two months, so maddening, and I look as rough as I feel and you can hear I have a sore throat but I thought it better to get you guys a video than wait until i'm completely better and feeling more 'attractive'. Believe it or not I had brushed and styles my hair but its a bit of a mess-I'm so sorry!
All that said and done I felt so much better once i'd done my makeup! It's so powerful isn't it.
I was really excited to do a video using makeup from the high street. There is so much out there so i'll be sure to share my finds with you. Let me know your favourite drug store makeup in the comments below.

My natural collection fave was Rosebud lipstick. Went through loads and now sadly discontinued when Boots had their revamp of Natural Collection. But my drugstore finds of late have been Boots CYO Lifeproof foundation, long lasting, looks nice, and all important doesn’t sit in the lines and pores. Also CYO Matte foundation, my oily skinned daughter loves, their cream blusher also nice and long lasting. Lastly ELF camo concealer. Not the high coverage it would suggest, but nice and smoothing under the eyes and doesn’t sit in lines. I don’t think it matters if we see you straight outta bed. Keep it real, i say. This is life, and look how you looked after, ready to face the day, beautiful. Love where your freelance career is taking you, so good to see. 🥰

L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. It gives my lashes unparalleled volume. On my "No-Makeup" days I go for the Maybelline Great Lash in brownish black. I love the Burt's Bees matte lip crayon in Redwood Forest. I use it both sheer and fully pigmented, it's lovely
Well done and kudos to you for not relying on Press samples but buying your own makeup.
Also well done for doing any filming at all when you have a small family and actual paid work to do.

Drugstore makeup I swear by: revlon age defying foundation with the red trim on the packaging! To me it’s every bit as good as an Armani foundation

This look is gorgeous! I love CYO life proof foundation, the natural collection concealer you used, generally anything from make up revolution (an addiction not helped by LPD!) and some elf stuff is great too (their highlighter quad is amazing but subtle). Great to see more high street brands, they’ve really stepped up their game lately!! x

I always buy drugstore mascaras, I think high-end ones are only marginally better so not worth the expense! Max Factor 2000 calorie is my fave, I always go back to it.

Love this video, thank you! The Natural collection Peach Melba blush is my favourite daytime blusher, I’ve used it for donkeys years. And my favourite everyday mascara is the Maybelline lash Sensational- I’ve got through loads since I discovered it, and it’s really easy to take off, which is a bonus!

Max Factor blushes are my holy grails. My favourites are Nude Mauve, Lavish Mauve & Seductive Pink but they are all great. I've used the Natural Collection mascara for yrs & it's a hidden gem, though I've been using Essence Lash Princess False Lash effect more recently as it keeps the curl in my lashes a bit longer (big problem for me lol). Natural Collection also do a great chubby lip pencil stick & their blushes are fab. I have the Soap & Glory eyebrow pencil which is good & I really want to try their one which has the pencil on one end & felt tip one on the other. It looks similar to the new one by Urban Decay. I also love Sleek eyeshadow palettes. Lastly (lol), the glitter liners from Collection are really good. Great colours, easy to use & cheap as chips. Emma x

My children took AGES to sleep through the night, and it took me a long time to get really rested after each one finally settled. Children are lovely, such treasures, but they make up tired and by the time they’re out on the own, we feel worn out 😉

I love the Snapscara from Maybelline, it's super buildable and very longwearing/smudgeproof but so easy to remove. And you have to try the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer, you will love it!

Rimmel volume flash mascara is the best. I know you like big lashes so you will love it. I've been using it for 10 years now! Also sleek do excellent blushers and contour pallets. But get them from superdug they seem to have more variety.

Think it was me that mentioned on Insta that I don't like True Match. L'Oréal sent me a full size to test and review and it's the first time in my life that I've thrown makeup away. I found it chalky, drying, difficult to blend and I didn't like the way it sat on my skin.
I'm a big fan of the Max Factor bronzer you used since I saw Caroline Barnes use it on Nadine Baggott, colour is perfect for me too.
Have you tried any Maybelline pallets yet? They don't last as well as UD but they're still great

Would love more drugstore tutorials, am trying to reduce my spend on makeup and buy products that are as good as expensive ones!
Would love some tips on foundations, tips on finish and shades.
Also how to pick shades of blusher/lipstick/eye shadow, no clue how to pick or coordinate, or where to find advice on this! eg for different undertones.
I don’t like the foundation in this video, I think it looks more heavy and less natural that your other makeup looks.
I love bourjois foundation, I have pale skin with yellow undertones & many ranges don’t have foundations with yellow undertone.
Love Rimmel cream pot eyeshadow - the only one I can find that lasts as long as Mac painterly.
Please more advice on good drugstore brands, it is so difficult to find good drugstore makeup, as there are really testers and you have to buy to try.
Is the cyo Brow pencil new as the link doesn't go to the product ?

Don't you think L'Oreal true match is the best (drugstore) foundation out there? It's seriously true match for my tanned skin tone and it applies on smoothly. It sometimes is better than some of my more expensive foundations.
I love it! But i think i prefer the Infaillible actually xx

Hannah, you gorgeous girl. Do you have a make-up removal vid? I'd love to see what you love. I have used Bobbi Soothing Cleansing Oil for a very, very long time, but always have to go over with a gentle cleanser to feel I've removed everything. What are your feelings about wash clothes? Do you use one? I always wonder if it's gentle enough. I've used Lathering Tube Soap and feel it makes my skin filmy. Gross. Ooo and I tried some of this in your drug store "everything" and really feel a break through from what may have been a make up time warp. Something feels sacrilegious about mixing in non-Bobbi, heaven forbid. :)
Hey Ashley. I do have a makeup removal video but I need to update it. I do love to use a wash cloth once Ive rinsed off the cleansing oil-it really helps to get that clean feeling but a double cleanse like you're doing is a great idea. Mwah xx

Love your videos! My request is a video with a redhead? I’m redheaded, blue eyes, but not that fair (similiar to your skin tone). I love watching these and other makeup videos, but redheads are very rarely featured. Would just be nice to see. If you can’t find one, let me know! 😉
Oh Hannah I'm so disappointed. You have done videos with quality products. I have tried everything from department store to drug store makeup and the difference in quality is enormous. Cheap makeup has unpleasant finishes, flat colors and never lasts very long. Please stick to the good stuff.
Janet Steinman disappointed with me or the makeup? I think it only wise, as a makeup artist, that I explore all brands, high end and high street, to really understand what’s out there and how it wears so I can give my informed opinion. Remember many high street brands are owned by the big guys who make the high end stuff too so lots of formulas are actually very similar just at a more favourable price point
I totally disagree. It’s great for us on a budget to see drugstore looks, and clearly Hannah has found some gems! Hannah, I love that you’ve explored less obvious choices here. Not just the usual Drugstore stuff. I’m excited to check out the Natural Collection again. Throwback to the nineties! X
Personally I’ve found the so called “good stuff” has nothing to do with price or brand name. One can find quality products in the drugstore and likewise there are often some inferior products in the department stores. Making generalization assumptions will keep you from discovering the hidden gems, regardless of price point.
