Fraser has been through a LOT, its saddening seeing several bad comments about him here. The injuries for film requires several surgeries. Got blacklisted from work after he was SA-ed by a bigwig in Hollywood. That and family tragedy make him depressed. He is getting better now and I hope he continue to thrive in life.
that was why I didn't hear much from him! It was sad though, he was my favorite actor growing up. I followed the whole 'The Mummy' franchise, and actually became very interested in archeologist thanks to those movies!

Hollywood is actually very corrupt with a lot of SA-ed even with kids! Many of these actors are lowered to B movies or are hardly seen again because they want nothing to do with the evil going on there.
It's disheartening when I hear people talking about how he fell off bc he gained weight. Like back off. Let the guy feel comfortable and deal with issues.
I want to give Fraser a big hug because I know, at least some, of the pain he has endured. Severe depression is no joke. It can cripple you and break you down. He needs as much love and support as we can give him so he knows he's still amazing.

I loved the Mummy movies! The whole cast was great! These movies have action, adventure, comedy, and a little bit of romance. Patricia Velasquez in her little outfit at the beginning of the movie - WOW! They rushed through that part a little to quickly! 😂

I've seen people not even fans of Fraser know what he's been through.. its rough and we all just want to give him a hug and hope he is happy. Its great seeing him not only make a comeback (mind you he never really left, he was just blacklisted), but also gain the recognition from others in the industry. First time I saw him in an interview.. he was answering the questions the interviewer asked, but they way he talked was like he was broken, or in a hole.. Hope he gets what he deserves, such a kind person.
Fraser's like a phoenix rising from his ashes now. Good for him.
The casting in this movie and Mummy 2 was perfect.
Especially Vosloo. Not a hollywood pretty boy, he looked the part of Imhotep.
When they tried to replace Evie that was a huge mistake. That role IS Rachel Weisz
Oded Fehr was so dreamy with his long hair. Eye candy!! I looked forward to each scene he was in. Arnold was handsome too. I'm having difficulty understanding the speaker. "The Strain" was one of my favorite TV series. I had no idea that Mr. Hyde was the same man from this movie.

Same, I'm a non-native English speaker and the lack of consonants make the words blend together, I struggled to understand a lot of things 😅

Omg I had such a crush on Oded Fehr! He still looks good with the salt and pepper hair today. And I agree the speaker is speaking quite fast. It has nothing to do with her accent.

...Hollywood would not know what to do with her...she is an openly lesbian Latina....and that combined with her exquisite beauty...it will confuse people....at the time of the movie...she was openly dating Sandra Bernhardt...and that was kept on the down low because...people would disconnect...she was so ravishing in the film...food for the gods...

Hey I am glad you mentioned Eric Avari. He was my classmate, ( and room mate in the final year) in school. I remember him directing me in a small school play we put up. He played Mark Antony in our Shakespeare production.

I'm surprised that the main cast hasn't changed much. Almost as if they mummified themselves in order to preserve their current state. This was a compliment in a weird way.

This movie was my one and only source of knowledge on the ancient Egyptians. When I was actually visiting Egypt, I was shocked how different I had understood the culture.
Arguably the best Mummy Movie ever made better than even the classic from 1932.

When you can do 2 characters that are TOTALLY opposites (Mummy Character and Spartacus Character) that is a real actor for you!!!!
He is also really good in the documentary/film 'Sinking of the Lusitania: Terror at Sea' (which is a very good watch and can be found on CZcams), which he acts and narrates in. I think he is one of the most versatile actors, how different he was from Jonathan in 'The Mummy' and Batiatus in 'Spartacus'. Hannah is a great actor for sure.
He was also very good in Four weddings and a funeral.

Don't forget that he also did the famous "stop all the clocks . . ." funeral monologue in Four Weddings and A Funeral. Everyone in the movie theatre was crying during that scene, he did such a good job of portraying the utterly broken and grief-stricken Matthew 😭
what a lot of people seem to forget: the whole cast was AMAZING. I truly think the "hero" movie is only as good as it's villains....and boy, both Pat and Arnold delivered!

@@RuralTowner He didn't "let himself go." He had to have several back and knee surgeries after The Mummy, wasn't able to exercise and put on weight as a result. He was also sexually assaulted by a male film producer and blacklisted when he refused his advances. His marriage broke down and his mother died. The poor guy lost his health, his career and his family through no fault of his own; people have committed suicide for less than he's been through. Plus he's 22 years older. Of course he's going to look different.

Fraser was also in the series Doom Patrol. I really enjoyed that show and he was great in it although I think mostly he only appeared as a voice actor with a few actual appearances.
Could we have a rematch between Rachel Weisz and Patricia Velasquez ?? I guess it would be a re-rematch. They should face off in another action movie.

Are we getting old or what. I liked the first two Mummy moves. The last one, Not to much.
The first one was epic. The second one campy. Good storyline, and love how it tied into the first one, but it felt forced. The Scorpion King felt like it was 100% bad CGI. Don't know why they credited The Rock when it wasn't even him in the end, just a bad computer botchup. The last one without Rachel Weisz didn't even have any chemistry.
Pat Velasquez was a 12 on a 10 pt scale .... no wonder that Imhotek fella took the big chance .
My dad took me and my sister to see it and they told us the wrong theater and we went into the one that had like 20 minutes left and I was so confused when the credits rolled...I thought it was a really short movie, we figured it out and stayed until the movie started again, but of course the ending was spoiled. I'll never forget that.

I always like to say I have a connection to all of these people. I went to school with Stephen Sommers [the Director] at Apollo High School in St Cloud, MN the same time he did.
I'm not bragging really, because I didn't know him at the time, and I don't even remember him, except for his picture in our year book. But if I ever meet any of these actors I can start off the conversation with; "Hey, I went to school with Stephen Sommers!"
