Can we take a moment and commend the writers for having faith that the audience would accept that Ron Stoppable would be the one to win the final battle of not just a season but the entire series. Most series would shoe horn in a final battle with the titular character. But not Kim Possible. This series had faith in us as the audience. To accept the sidekick got his time in the sun
I feel like the main reason this worked out so well was due in part to the hinting that Ron had more in him than he understood or realised and that all the leading up culminated into that one point where it needed to be the most. It wasn't a power up that was sudden, out of the blue or out of character. That, is pretty rare in a lot of shows in general.
To be fair, they were going to take over and possibly kill everyone if not more than 2/3 the population. And then when that failed they were going to take Kim as a trophy. So the moral of the story, never threaten to take Rons girl or you gonna die.
Ron is such an inspirational character, hes the type of guy who doesnt mind being the sidekick, someone who hangs out with everyone, non judgmental, but is overlooked by everyone. He ends up being the strongest character on the show both physically and internally.

Honestly the series made it pretty obvious. Kim was good at fighting. Ron was good at literally everything he set his mind to (Zorpox Ron proves he’s a genius)!
I never realized until today that Ron actually murked 2 aliens on top of becoming a kung fu monkey master AND saving the world. Ron achieved HIM status before it was a thing.

Ron could not allow this, so he remained silent). Kim was lucky that, despite his jealousy, Ron was not vindictive and did not particularly hold a grudge against her. That's why he forgives her and they kiss

When Shego told Drakken that Ron stepped up Monkey Style, it was at that moment they knew they'd never be able beat Kim, or Ron, in short, they stopped being the bad guys, and start being the good guys.
I love how Ron isn't just a side character. In most shows the main character's "sidekick" is usually not really a fully developed character. You never really get to know them. They're just there to assist the main character and most often develop a romance with them. It's different with Ron. First off with Kim and Ron's romance, you actually can see them begin as friends in season 1 and slowly transition into something more as the show goes on. He also gets his own side story and episodes that focus more on him and his abilities. He even gets his own arch foe. I just love how this show did that.
They could have totally did some kind of spin-off with Ron or maybe even make a movie with him as the protagonist and have the villain be mystical based. It could have worked.
I think he is. How ironic that instead of leading the Lorwardians into battle, he defeated them in battle instead. Actually destroyed is probably a better word. Nine foot tall alien or not, there is no way they survived that.

I guess they eventually decided that SOMEONE had to die in the show, perhaps to stop the 'kiddy-coddling', so they decided to make it Warmonga and Warhok, and tried to make them as malicious as possible so they could justify doing so

Without any power, he was indeed in the peak of human race. His evil moments proves it. Now that he have full confidence on himself and that he control his power. Man, this dude can rule the universe but he will never, because, he is just a simple man who loves a woman. That guy is just a good character.
I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding. Ron was uncertain about the future, but he was 100% confident in his love for Kim. It's the same anime trope played out here. Uncertain guy + hidden power + defeated flame/crush = Gohan Super Saiyan 2 transformation. Ron's uncertainty about the future, while 'bitching', isn't mutually exclusive with his sense of self.
Plus take in account that this isn’t the only turn around point for his character. Don’t forget in the entirety of the show Ron has moments where he had to step up and all that work is executed here in the finale
Rudi there were numerous times that showed he had it in him. when he was evil. he had incredible fighting skills. genius level intellect and he can cook. he became a running back starter in senior year. bested monkey fist. he is better at home eco than Kim

funny thing I read a fanfiction of just that except it was more like the return of the Jedi with the entire galaxy calibrating two of the most powerful warriors in the known galaxy being bitched slapped into hell. I mean the fic was short yet so very fulfilling.
i love how ron throughout the series went from being terrified of monkeys, got monkey powers, became stronger with his monkey powers, and in the end he finally got his hero moment. it shows a lot of character development from being scared all the time, being afraid of monkeys, and being afraid of change. in Graduation he was scared of the future, but you could see him put all his fears aside in order to save the world. After this you can see him be more confident, and one thing i noticed was in the final shot where kim and ron start flying away in the car, ron actually is the one to initiate the kiss, whereas with their previous kisses it was either kim making the move or both of them at the same time. i just think he's a great example of character development done right.

I really appreciate the fact that Shego saw the whole thing too. Kim already loves him and has all the confidence in him but all the villains see him as just a sidekick. But Shego is the most respectable villain and the one that really mattered besides drakan. So her seeing Ron step up probably made her realize he isn't just a scrubby sidekick any more.
I think at this point Shego is just like "OK so I am never messing with him when he is evil and apparently never again while he is good now either" lmao

I always loved how they gave Ron the biggest scene in the series in terms of defeating a villain. I know he had other moments where he saved the day but for the most part he was just the sidekick/comic relief but here he really does it all. One of my favorite scenes in the series
Not only once, but twice. Remember in a Sitch In Time, he bitch slapped Drakken (a future version that was buff btw) with one hand, then destroyed the Time Monkey and erased the dystopian future where Shego became a dictator.
Ron is a hidden badass. a genius in cooking, crafting and just overall creativity a genius in engineering and is an actual threat to the world if he ever turn evil. remember that him swapping morality with Draken didn't make him smarter, all that inventing and planning was all him if he wasn't held back by his own insecurity and doubts. now he has mystical monkey power that is strong enough to throw two world conquering warlords so hard that they detonated a starship on impact.
If they would ever make another season where they would be adults and they brought back the helmet that made him evil. There would be nothing that coul stop him, he would be a menace....
Came back after I rewatched the scene from Episode 41, after I realized... The comet that gave shego and her siblings their powers... I thought it only had 4 colors, but it actually had FIVE. We knew of the first four, Blue, Green, Red and purple. But at the very end of the object... Was light blue, a similar shade to the monkey power.

If you remember, Monty Fist sought a great power because it would make him Unstoppable, so the legend says, but later the energy source said that he was mistaken, that the great power would be Ron Stoppable. So legends and prophecies in the universe can be slight incorrect. Many fan theories suggest that it was Ron she was looking for, but most likely, the prophecy was to her own destruction, just misquoted.

We've seen bits and pieces of Ron using the mystical monkey power in the series (especially in the episode about Japan). The way Ron suddenly began using the mystical monkey power, then going super saiyan mode fully here reminds me of how during DBZ we saw Gohan use his hidden powers off and on before the battle with Cell and then it all came out when triggered.
“You are the monkey master” “I am?” “Mm” I love how the sensie didn’t give some huge motivational speech, he was just like “you are the master, now go kick their asses.”

i love how ron throughout the series went from being terrified of monkeys, got monkey powers, became stronger with his monkey powers, and in the end he finally got his hero moment. it shows a lot of character development from being scared all the time, being afraid of monkeys, and being afraid of change. in Graduation he was scared of the future, but you could see him put all his fears aside in order to save the world. After this you can see him be more confident, and one thing i noticed was in the final shot where kim and ron start flying away in the car, ron actually is the one to initiate the kiss, whereas with their previous kisses it was either kim making the move or both of them at the same time. i just think he's a great example of character development done right.

@Cool Guy Still, id say it counts. The guy was a lucky prig period. Liking himself for his money or rigging Homecoming, she DID wind up dating him (twice) for very, very brief periods of time. He got with Kim in the end, which was expected but the point is she wasnt his only date. Just the one that mattered.

I really appreciate the fact that Shego saw the whole thing too. Kim already loves him and has all the confidence in him but all the villains see him as just a sidekick. But Shego is the most respectable villain and the one that really mattered besides drakan. So her seeing Ron step up probably made her realize he isn't just a scrubby sidekick any more.
I think at this point Shego is just like "OK so I am never messing with him when he is evil and apparently never again while he is good now either" lmao

I always loved how they gave Ron the biggest scene in the series in terms of defeating a villain. I know he had other moments where he saved the day but for the most part he was just the sidekick/comic relief but here he really does it all. One of my favorite scenes in the series
Not only once, but twice. Remember in a Sitch In Time, he bitch slapped Drakken (a future version that was buff btw) with one hand, then destroyed the Time Monkey and erased the dystopian future where Shego became a dictator.

Yes that was one of my favorite arcs, sad that they didn't expand upon it.
I liked that him turning evil was kind of a peak into seeing that Ron is actually pretty dangerous

We've seen bits and pieces of Ron using the mystical monkey power in the series (especially in the episode about Japan). The way Ron suddenly began using the mystical monkey power, then going super saiyan mode fully here reminds me of how during DBZ we saw Gohan use his hidden powers off and on before the battle with Cell and then it all came out when triggered.
