  • In this film Ricardo Maciel gives some of his Top Tips on how to prepare the Equipment before going Paramotoring on the beach in strong winds. We do not advise Pilots fly in strong winds inland where the weather is more turbulent. Nor do we advise low airtime Pilots fly in strong winds until they have developed their advanced ground handling skills.

Good tips, but a side note. I really wouldn't recommend "warming up your engine" by pull starting it from cold and immediately going full throttle. That's really not recommended. You should allow it to idle and come up to operating temperature first, then Rev to clear it and check that you have full rpm range.

I like it like butter. Also not a fan of reverse launches. For me, steady calmer winds are a blast for flying.

This depends upon many factories such as the location, the wing size, the skill and experience level of the pilot. However as a beginner you should not be flying in more than 10mph/16kph of wind on the ground.
