Genuinely, thank you, for your comment about trial and error. It can be very disheartening, when you were learning a new craft, to see everybody doing such amazing work on CZcams. We often forget, that they had to learn how to do it, they didn’t just start making them and was perfect, it’s very nice to have that reassurance, especially from someone as gifted and talented as you are with tumblers, to hear that it’s trial and error, that there is a learning curve, that it will take time to figure it out. I saw one of your videos reviewing an alternative but I would love to know what you personally recommend. I already have all the cup stuff and mica powders, just literally so stuck on this. Hi Vanessa:) Great looking tumbler! I was wondering if the color shift was under the black powder coating or if the laser imparted the colors on the tumbler.
@@VMDDesignsCitristrip is absolutely amazing for stripping tumblers. I even use it to remove powder coating from tumblers. It’s takes it down to the stainless steel. It almost rubberizes it and it’s super satisfying to peel. I find it works better than acetone for the purposes of stripping. Plus it smells great and can be used indoors. I put the Citristrip on my tumbler, wrap it in a damp paper towel, then place inside a plastic store bag or aluminum foil. Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I don’t think I’d use it to clean up smudges though since it has to sit. I’d be afraid it would eat through the color.

Hi!!! The color is under the powder coat! The laser takes off the coating and reveals the colors underneath!
