  • A fantastic compilation of archive film showing how people used to live and work in the Dorset town of Wimborne. This is one of a series of videos produced by the rural media charity Trilith as part of a Heritage Lottery funded project to put selected pieces of archive film back in to circulation by adding contextual material. Wimborne in the past (originally Soldiers, Civilians and Stockmen) was written, directed, shot and edited by John Holman of the Wholemeal Media Company. DVD authored by John Holman. Poem written and read by Sean Street and Musical soundtrack by Stephen Deutsch. DVD copies of this piece are available from Kingfisher Productions. Wimborne market gone. Need to remove the Wimborne market town sign. It’s ruined now. Too many houses and cars.
