- In this video I checkout a RARE 2011 Squier by Fender FSR Classic Vibe Mustang electric guitar finished in sonic blue.
These 24" scale offset Squier classic vibe Mustang guitars were crafted in china and made only for the Japanese guitar market!
I will demo the Squier classic vibe Mustang offset guitar playing in all 4 positions playing a mixture of Clean and Distortion.

That looks like a nice set-up with the fixed bridge and the off-white pick-up covers. Also the regular switching of a real Mustang. You are right about those pickups. They sound tremendous on clean, either in phase or out. Very nice color. On dirty these pickups take you to a different level. Maybe it is the Marshall distortion that really fits this guitar like a glove. I don't care for the look of the pickguard but that is easily remedied. Glad to see you on CZcams again Rob. You are really a treasure to have on nowadays. There are only a choice few guys who I really enjoy listening to and you are an expert on off-sets in my book. Thank you sir for sharing.
I love these Mustangs just a cut about all the other Squier stangs, it sounded even better in the room that Marshall loves a bright sounding single coil 🤘 yeah pickguards are easily replaced.

Interesting they already made Classic Vibe Mustangs for Japan a year before we even got the Vintage Modified series in the west.
We had the Chinese classic vibes here also around the same time just not the Mustang model.

I thought the vintage modified line used the white tuning pegs? Those had a lighter tint on the neck too
Yes the vintage modified did, the last 2011 CV Mustang I had similar to this had white buttons.

Pretty sick guitar man love mustangs, been looking at this really cool ‘64 duo sonic body I’m thinking of buying recently. Its a really dope refinished green with all kinds of artistic things done to the body, thought I’d get it and putt an old mustang neck on it. So yeah been thinking bout getting a pretty special one myself.😎 Good to see you back man hope the hands are doing a bit better!

@@theguitarmanifesto its a 22,5 but there are some rare 22,5 ‘66 mustang necks out there that should work just fine! pretty excited for it as I don’t have the largest of hands but thanks for the tip! :)

Yes and no, less stretching wise yes, but it gets a bit clumsy high up the fretboard playing lead 🤣🤣 you can't win, I was playing my Strat earlier and it felt ok for a while.
@@theguitarmanifesto I love my Mustang but chords up the neck can be pretty tricky especially if they are clustered closely.

This one had a slightly wider neck than usual and felt a tad easier higher up the neck.
