Someone who is not mechanically inclined would have no idea of what you are doing.
So the original fuel pump was having pressure issues, replaced it and issue is gone. Good fuel delivery means more efficient and more power.

If someone is not mechanically inclined they should go to a dealer.

For a fuel pump that easy to replace?

@@gigger14 Because some of us ARE mechanically inclined. For those of us who are, I found it to be very helpful.

What’s the point of a video if you don’t explain or discuss what or how you are troubleshooting ?

    • @nick72033
      @nick72033  Před 4 lety +4

Its just for symptoms and remedy. All i did was a fuel pressure test, and the pressure was low and erratic. Therefor the pump is weak.

What’s the point in looking up videos to fix your own wheeler if you can’t even figure out what he’s doing and follow along without him holding your hand?

@@michaelmccallum7125 Because some of us are not mechanics and want to learn how to do this stuff, I didn't learn much from this video, because he didn't explain anything. So Nick A had a good point, but thank you for your condescending comment anyway.

Mine does that when I pull the emergecy brake... What could be?

What kind of fuel pressure gauge do you use? It seems way simple that you disconnected after the injectors and plugged right in..

Maybe you could help, I also have a 2012 ranger that runs rough. Checked fuel pressure it is 45 - 50 psi running but I noticed it immediately drops to 0 psi with key off. I noticed yours holds pressure. Think that could be the cause?
Otherwise it has new air filter (checked for obstructions all good), new spark plugs and 2 new fuel injectors with pigtails. Any help would be great, thanks!

Typically there is a fuel pressure regulator in the pump assembly. Its like a one way check valve. When they go bad fuel pressure will bleed back into the tank when you shut the key off.

Still sounds pretty rough. It don't seem like that fixed it

For anyone who can help me out
...I have a 2009 Polaris Ranger I just pressure washed a couple days ago.
I had the seat off figuring I'd wash inside the engine area as it was I dusty and needed washed.
Now after I washed it, the engine runs rough like it sounds its only firing on one cylinder.
It hesitates trying to climb a small incline like it has no guts.
    I can smell strong fuel/exhaust.
If I get on it as fast as it can go, it kinda surges like it wants to run like it's supposed to before I pressure washed it.
I didn't see any spark plug wires loose. Could I have accidentally got water in somewhere it shouldn't be?
Also, if I need to change the battery, where is it located?
