BIKER STATES: On 9-12-21 around 2 PM fire was intentionally started. The Hopkins Fire. Because of high winds we get in the afternoon it quickly got out of hand. Burned some of these structures then jumped the road to continue its path of destruction up marina drive area. I was headed home from my daughters b'day party when I noticed big cloud of smoke about 1.5 miles from home. Saw neighbors and first responders head that way..I tagged along since I figured they would need assistance with the animal shelter in redwood valley. Boy was I wrong. Jumped into action did what I could before i couldnt stay in area any longer..then needing to be evacuated ourselves a couple hours later.. prayers. good thoughts. positive vibes. whatever you believe. send it to all the residents..i helped an elderly lady as best i could and took over the hose for her so she and her family could get in vehicle and get out..i felt so bad leaving their trailer but firefighters took over... saw at least 6 structures burn in front of my face. so very sad. sounded like a warzone. with all the propane tanks going off.. i hate this for everyone involved. thank you to all the first responders and other emergency personnel involved.. everyone be safe out there...

What a beast, even after the family evacuated he kept trying.
I'm so proud of him because I'm a firefighter and he did so well
are you nice 👍👍👍
Bruh I was gonna say are you sure you're a firefighter like that
omg I'm embarrassed
@@ltnfusion9898 don't be you have all rights to say whatever you want to say
Former fire fighter and law-enforcement here....And yes, this fellow biker did an awesome job! Way to help out bro! Ride safe
thank you for all the love everyone.. i dont know how firefighters do it.. its a different mentality for sure.. mad respect to all first responders fire fighters and any emergency personnel.. they are the true heroes
You did good kid *places hand on the shoulder* you did real good...
Major respect to you. I’d be hightailing it the opposite direction
@@ionbusman2086 it was a thought a few times..but i just felt like i needed to keep trying..
@@GROMSQUATCH good job!! I left California because its falling apart. You are a true HERO!!
I can’t believe how fast it went from you spraying her tree to you fighting a full fledged fire , Your awesome
Ifeel uncomfortable watching people loosing their houses, while sitting here in safety, may god bless them all .
A few months ago my shed burnt down with 2 of my kitties in it and we have cameras around our house so we could watch it again and sadly I lost 1 of my kitties but miraculously the other one survived. But I was so uncomfortable watching it on camera because it took so long for the fire department to get there, and me knowing that my babies were in there. And about 15-20 minutes later the fire department got there and we don't live that far away from the department but only 1 truck shows up with minimal water. My dad got the garden hose out and was doing the best he could with that while the fireman took his sweet time to get the hose out. And what was stupid about this guy was the fact that he didn't even know there was a firehidrent right across the road. So this guy is walking (slowly) around doing nothing, my dad picks up their hose and starts to spray the shed. But this guy comes over and yells at my dad for trying to stop the fire because there is minimal water. Eventually more trucks came and stopped the fire. And when it was safe they went in and saw the kitty I'd lost but couldn't find the other one. My dad picks her up and lays her in the garage and goes back out and all of a sudden here come the other kitty, walks out just fine, only a little dirty, my dad puts him in the garage and continues to clean up the mess a bit.
Now we have it rebuilt and we buried the one kitty we lost and the other one is still perfectly fine. But what I'm mad at is my sister told me that the firemen were required to practice for 15 minutes before going to stop a fire. Like how dumb is that, oh someone is stuck in a burning building, hmm let's go practice.
It's just so stupid.

Fire season in Southern California can be devastating. Heartbreaking really Props to Grom Squatch!
It was arson. Not fire season
Mendocino County...where this takes place...is in Northern California.
It's better doing something than nothing at this point.
Thanks to this guy and the firefighters, I hope everyone in the neighborhood were safe and sound
@Norma F**СК МЕ - СНЕCK MY РR0FILЕ You too man 👊
See that? That is way better than road rage or mirror smashing or immature group riders. That guy is the fucking man! Here's a fist bump 👊 all the way from the east coast. Stay safe brother.
fist bump right back at ya!!!
I love the community stay strong everyone 🙏🏻

Yep!
This restored my faith in humanity. It’s little things like that that make this world a better place.
yeah me too. I would say it doesn't take much but then what he did was powerful and meaningful so it doesn't feel right to say it in this case.
well... not so little
As a volunteer in Australia I can confirm you did your best with what you had, to those who have not experienced this being that close is extremely hot and the smoke is crazy.
I think we could all take a page out of this guy's book. What a beauty.
yoooooo..i didnt expect to be the whole video..thanks for the highlight.. this was a crazy day i believe all these houses are lost except that last one i was talking to the guy at. i will be sharing links for donations and follow up footage in the near future
Cheers bro ,when was this fire ,

Good man trying to help. I would've done the same as I'd hope someone like you would do for me. 🤙
What an absolute hero!
Absolute legend, always makes me happy to see people being selfless in a time of a strangers need.
Firefighters are the only people who hear "there is a big tank near the fire" and they run toward it. Mad respect.
no doubt.. crazy mentallity..mad respect for sure..
Salute to each every person like him
Im so glad that the person who started it is in custody. All those poor people who have severe damage to their property and home. The place you should feel safe and it turns into an inferno. Props to the biker for doing what was right and giving the fire department more time to arrive and extinguish the flames! Amazing work
Never seen a fire like that in first person !!
Respect to Grom Squatch.
I loved the first biker vs fire video it’s great too know that we have great people out there👍🏻
Grom squatch your a savage bro keep killing it!
Man intense
Love how everyone works together. Need more of this all over. 🙏🏼
This was. A great video respect to that bike rider and those fire fighters !!
Volunteer for a photo here in upstate New York and I have mad respect for that boy could going out and helping the people that needed that he did such a great job trying to help those people and I couldn't be proud of somebody. I'm just glad to know that everyone's getting out safely and everyone's okay over there. It's nice to know those two people out there willing to rest their lives to help others in need this guy did great and I'm so happy to see somebody helping other people out for once you're going to volunteer firefighter for 7 years and I have great respect for anybody who is still life to help somebody else.
Big respect from FRANCE 🇨🇵
These are the type of people we need in this country! I thank you I’m sure everybody in that town thanks you!
Good on you, Mr Grom Squatch for helping with that fire!! High-five to you!!!
This is why i subscribed to moto madness to see how bikers help
first responders... gotta love them! Especially the firefighters! Craziest of them all! Head first into fire. They all got my respect!
Huge Respect for GROM as all firefighters aswell
This was definitely a nice change of pace from the usual videos. Glad he could do what he can to help out.
Un verdadero héroe y buen ciudadano, lo felicito. Y muchas fuerzas a las familias de la zona.
The truck driving backwards was hilarious
hi :)
its so nice of that guy to help.
Crazy that many homes are still built out of wood. Good on you for helping
Wood is the best material to survive earthquakes. This insane fire season has only been a thing for like the last four years.
@@davidparker667 Pretty sure most detached houses in Japan are still going to be wooden framed like the ones in this video, but possibly with fancy flexible foundations that you don't see too often in CA. Also, these houses are clearly 70s era or older. Obviously tall buildings are going to be use reinforced concrete. Don't be a troll.
Wildfires are no joke. Especially in dry places like that.
I've dealt with wildfires before, but never in a populated area like that. Good on this biker for doing all he can
Wow, I didn't think I'd see another biker firefighter video! So unfortunate it happened, but at least this world has bikers 😁
This is really heroic
Damn i got the feeling to need to hurry up watching Grom Squatch his video
I wouldn't mind having that gentleman as a neighbor.
Props to this guy.
He tried his best to help this unfortunate family out in this situation.
que triste ver esas imágenes felicitaciones al motociclista abrazos desde argentina....
Epic! Every little bit you can do helps no matter how small.
Big respect for grom squatch for what he did. A lot of other people would've just kept going. Big respect to him our first responders
All you can do is help the best you can. And try to get e safe as you can. He was very helpful thank you everyone 😊
Kudos to Grom Squatch for helping out his community 👍
Combat situations and extreme adversity expose a person's true character
@Nobody in particular you got that right very true .......
Good on you for staying calm alot of people loose there heads in situations like this and go blind to things like the propane tank and can end up getting hurt
If I was traveling on my motorcycle and saw this, I help as best as I can.
thanks to the guy that was helping with the fire you are a true hero for helping the firemen do there job and keeping the people safe from the fire
Well Done Grom Squatch,, Hell you did what you could - Respect for being a selfless hero in the face of danger and adversary !
Legend
respect for Grom SQUATCH
Damn this is hellish.. I've seen my sister's house burning and I will never forget her 2 daughters crying while we were watching all them stuffs burnt getting throwed away by the windows by the firemen trying to stop the fire..
It was heartbreaking.. Loosing everything that fast.. It's only things but still, It's a part of us.
Respect Bro🙏🏻🙂
sorry for your sister and all the family lost..
[Firefighters just usually doing their job]
Meanwhile that biker with a gopro: [running around like crazy]
untrained just trying to help. learning experience that i hope i never have to go through again but wouldnt hesitate if the situation came around to jump in again.. id be right there in the middle again lol..

WOW! Awesome footage
Good job buddy
Love the vid keep making these great uploads :D
Thanks to this guy and the firefighters, I hope everyone in the neighborhood is safe and sound after the motorcycle crash.
become a firefighter. already have 1 foot in the door. Instead of running away he was going towards the fire, great stuff
Good job for that guy that helped tell the fire fighters where the fire was that imformation helps them know who to tell and where to put the water
:( my prayers go to those Emergency Services..
They do so much to keep everyone safe sacrificing more than people know....
This is nuts. I have a difficult time starting bonfires here in Michigan. Crazy how one spark can burn a city out west.
What a fuckin bro 👏🏽. This man rode twords the flames literally just to help. It's people like this that you meet riding that make being a rider so awesome.

my dream job is to become a firefighter and I love watching these to see the amazing heros and to strive to be like them. stay safe out there! ❤
What a Great person,You are to be saluted! Unselfish
Awesome video!
Living in California, I am always amazed that homeowners in vulnerable fire areas do so little, if anything, to prepare for the inevitable wildfire.
Locally, we had a big one in 1995. A small neighborhood on a hillside was built 4 years before the fire. One guy wanted the group to help pay for a 5000 gallon tank and a hydrant, in case of fire. Not surprisingly, they all turned him down, explaining that they already had sprinkler systems. They guy warned them, that their sprinklers won't work, because power will be shut off, and firefighters will use all the line pressure.
So, he bought the tank and hydrant himself, and installed it 100' above his own house so it will have pressure no matter what. When the big fire came through, I'll let you guess which house was still standing, and hardly singed.
Wow… quick thinking. Glad they caught the perp
To see how fast the fire spreads is terrifying. Firefighters are heroes!

Big respect grom!
Respect to Grom squatch 💪👍
Bravo, commendable action !!!

Kind of Funny to watch the first Firefighter "NOPE" after he took a peak at the Tank
That guy's awesome for helping out everybody praise him did an awesome job helping you all these people out
You know what they say, where there's smoke there's fire.
Awesome fella right there. I shouldn't have too be impressed with peoples willingness to help with problems that aren't there own. Unless you are a dependant everyone should act like squatch right here. XD
Yeah that hissing would have me running! I commend you sir! 🤘TEXAS!!!
yeah after watching some bleve explosion videos..i now realised i should have gotten out of there..i thought with the purges they are safe.. nope..

Epic helicopter footage at 8:42
I bet after all this every single person in this neighborhood will go buy the longest hoses they can lol
Good to see you upload again!:)

A hint for people living in hot areas...buy a bigger hose. 😄
You get a knot in your guts when there is nothing you can do.

That's fucking wild dude. I've had a couple of times where I've had to battle some out of control fires but nothing like that man. I have respect for people willing to put themselves in harms way to protect other people or help in a situation like this.
