    Another good video Dave. I do like a double finish, especially on 72, 74, 76 and 78.

    Dave, why not do a few raffles for darts/boards/shirts etc. It might get lots of interactions on your CZcams, Facebook and all social media pages.

    Interesting video, do think double double finishes or even setups have their place especially if you are good enough to aim to miss low. Would say though I feel 19s is the best shot for 138. Ideally T19 T19 D12, hit S19 you have the same shot to leave 100 or 62 then pretty straightforward options after that. I tend to try to limit the movement around the board with the first 2 if possible

      if i miss on the outside of the wire i stick with the double to leave me going for the same final double so 72 D16 miss out side is still D 16 D top

    On 138 there's no way you should be telling someone to go for D20, D20 if they hit a single first 20 dart.
    If you miss D20 above on your second dart you're left with 118 with one dart in hand which even another double/treble means you'll only get 1/2 darts at double next visit rather than giving yourself a chance for 3 darts at a double if you hit a second S20 (because then a treble leaves 38, a 3rd single leaves 78 (the same as if you miss 1of 3 darts at D20.
    I don't care how good you are, missing high or low by that distance is possible for any player especially amateurs.
    Also going double first dart on 78 downwards is stupid. Again, miss a double you HAVE to hit a treble/double. Rather than 2 fat singles for one at double.

      Your reply seems very angry and if you think being called stupid by you means anything well i was called worse by some TV pro's when i had the cheek to say going double double was a viable option many many yeas ago o yes they laughed at me then but in the words of Nigel Farage their not laughing now are they...

      @@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn Double double make sense with 2 darts in hand to finish. Ie 72, 74, 76, 78, 80 etc. But to do it first dart or for a setup shot in most instances never happens on TV. Why? Because it's a ridiculous method to go that lessens the amount of darts you have at a double

    • @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn
      @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn  Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@MatadorDarts Yes what you are saying is the same as i was told about double double finishes 8 or so years ago it's ridiculous its crazy your a nutter your damaging the game they even said i was dangerous. Both Ronny Huybrechts and many others. The comments are still there for everyone to see but Ronny did contact me a few weeks later to say his son had adopted the DD finishes and his finishing average had gone up by 23% but followed it up by saying, no professional player would ever use DD finishes other than in exhibitions. so lets see how this one plays out over the next decade. this will still be here to refer back to then.

      As someone who’s shite at maths but throws fairly quick the DD for below 90ish makes so much sense and has already helped me massively. Clearly this is aimed at pub players etc so get off your high horse it’s just a game

    • @MatadorDarts
      @MatadorDarts Před 6 měsíci

      @bennyboyadams11 but surely if its aimed at pub players you tell them to play the percentage shots? Tell a pub player to aim at D15 first dart for D16 they'll likely be less than 1/3 on doubles.
      Go for T10 and any miss in the 15, 10 or 6 leaves a single to double combination.
      That is my big issue with this, most pub players want to learn how to play, this information will not help them

    I haven’t watched a single video of yours Dave that don’t make sense. I personally every day apart from a Sunday start my warm up by going around the board 2 single 1 double then 1 single 2 doubles

      I love it its great that you are getting the DD way thinking for yourself and structuring your practice to make a big difference. Try playing soft tip style Cricket its an awesome warm up game its like practice but playing at same time.
      Cheers D Dave...
