Bike to School Day

On May 3rd, National Bike to School Day, consider biking to school (Or anywhere!) if it is safe and available to you! Not only does this reduce carbon emissions if you usually drive, but it’s great exercise, too!

I think biking to school or work is a great idea provided you don't live so far away that the extra time involved might make you late (or miserable). I biked to work every day when I was a new teacher. It was a summer program, my first teaching job, and the school was about a mile or so away. Rain or shine, but it was summer and mostly sunny days. I felt good about doing that.
