To be honest, whatever these Troopers (human and horse) do, is special to those of us who are fans of Horse Guard channels. A nip, a bite, a snort, a neigh, a shout, a soft kick with those gorgeous jack boots, a smile with a colleague ... and we are as happy as horses in hay 😊.
both need a bloody shave, one is a captain in what looks like the RS, can't see the cap badge of the other as it's half way round his head and not over his left eye like it should be
My understanding is that the 'no beard' rule has only recently been relaxed, now they all want to grow them. It just doesn't look right on a man in military uniform.
Why is he coming to attention, if the first Soldier is an Officer why didn't the the other two salute hims as they crossed the road, and why did he come to attention for them, they looked like ORs......
My uneducated guess is the two are officers and are the same rank as the solo officer so no salute is required, but a salute is required from the Royal Guard.
What a beautiful horse and a great guard
Just showing respect 🫡
I'm pretty sure this guard knows who he's supposed to salute! ❤
As a non military sort, I would reckon that is a salute.
He is saluting other soldiers thats all.
Some really dumb and uninformed comments from people who have never served or know anything about respect or discipline
Its either a sword drill salute or a version of bracing up
They were all orificers.
He's simply saluting, nothing special.
You military????
Actually it is a show of respect
Respect is never nothing special, especially these days.
You obviously have never served and clearly know nothing about respect or discipline

Neither of those beards would be allowed in the Royal Navy. Would be describe as facial hair.

As far as I remember, you salute any Commissioned Officer from any branch of the military but not NCOs.
