Gotta give it to James, he ran in a stock car while everyone else had a ride modified up to the brim and he still put up a great fight
Word, no telling what under the hood of those modified cars.
The fact that he came in second each time shows that he's still very badass. I think he was just playing it easy for Bryson to get the wins. James already had his fifteen minutes of fame last year (and he was quite the awesome driver, just like his younger brother Jimmy.) :)

He has a Smokey yunick stock car. There are definitely some tricks in that thing.

My face lit up with joy when Crazy James was announced as the guest filler for this race. Methinks he's been taking it easy and enjoying his R&R since winning the 2020 tournament, which is why he wasn't as fast, though he was still pretty crazy with his driving (thank goodness he didn't crash) and still came in second. Perhaps he's also got a bit of a humble side, allowing Bryson to enjoy his moment of fame as the winner of this round, too. Still, that was very entertaining to see him show up for assistance. Shake n' bake, James!

Those oversized stock out tires really helped that Hummer out a lot. Less drag on the track sides and a lot of places to add weight in that casting.
