Cracking video Mick, really enjoyed it especially as I live local to that area. A really historic part of the world. Can’t wait for the next one down to Bridgnorth. Thanks again.

I've been going there since I was four and now I'm 54 I know that place like the back of my hand..and when you sat down on the bench at the Half Moon Inn that's jakefield rapids..used to fish there all the time once but since they reopened the pub not fished there so much only in the winter now because to many people there in the better weather.. I've had many 100lb + nets of barbel and chub just above the rapids on the stick float and on the feeder but you only need to cast the feed a little down stream and only about a rod and half length out because any further you will get snagged up because it's full of rocks but on the stick float about two rod lengths out and free lining meat works to.. early morning is best because doesn't matter if you're the best fisherman in the world because as soon as the sun comes up above the trees on the opposite bank they just switch off until the sun settles down at the back of the Half Moon Inn..the is so much I know about that place probably more the the locals..like Abraham Darby who didn't design the bridge only involved in the construction and the making of it so he wasn't allowed to have any plack of himself or and figure of himself so he built it into the bridge on both sides the left and right side of the outline of his face the main part of the bridge the knuckle holding the two sides together you have just got to stand in the right place to see him..plus the pork pie shop by the bridge have actually surplied to the royal family on special occasions..but like I said the is not much I don't know about that place and been in every pub there.. sorry it's a bit of a long comment 👍

The Brewery Inn that you walked past toward the end of the video have fishing rights to a stretch of the river behind the pub. It costs £5.00 a day, and you pay via a letterbox when the pub is closed. Details on how to pay are written on the front of the pub, but I guess you missed that bit lol
