I think the missing one went to China where it was able to breed and is now freely available for a few dollars. I got one as a space filler and it is quite good. I also got hold of an altered date version which is quit a feat of engineering. There is also a pattern 1933 penny that sold a few years ago.
I have Royal Mint documentation stating SIX 1933 coins minted. The "seventh" I believe was the one that appeared at auction at Glendinnings and was the St Cross specimen stolen earlier but only discovered missing the following year. Several prominent experts consider my hypothesis a real possibility. I have detailed knowledge of the three currently in private hands . Two are held by a Welsh collector one by a Scottish.

Only 6 were ever made and all can be accounted for. There are many fakes around,usually genuine 1938 coins that have been altered.
