Beginner Pokémon TCG Guide to Ancient Box

- Welcome to Voiddyn - Pokémon! In this video of Poke Primer, we'll be going over a new Ancient Box deck in the current Pokémon TCG format. Ancient Box is a Pokémon deck based around Ancient Pokémon. This video will go over each the list with tips, tricks and ways to play the decks for newer players to the format.

It's a good starting list, but if someone wants to play in the meta, there's almost no way to win against hands turbo if you don't tech slither wing. Also, you need more acceleration to prepare more attackers quickly, I would suggest dark patch and/or superior energy retrieval.
I totally get that Hands Turbo is a bad match up for this list, I'm interested in how the games go.
As for Dark Patch, I tried it in the list and it felt a bit clunky as Sada's felt like a bit more easier to get my attachements especially to Fluttermane. I decided against Superior Energy Retrieval as I figured the extra energy grabbed late game wasn't really worth the discard, so instead I went with Normal Energy Retrieval.
This is kinda just personal preference, and there are a ton of awesome lists out there doing interesting stuff with Ancient Box. Thanks for the feedback!
I also add at least one copy of slither wing for hands weakness, it's as easy as cutting out one of the flutter means for slither wing
You want the superior over the regular retrieval because it helps get ancient cards in the discard

Tried it out on tcg and I love playing this deck! Gonna try and build it in real life. Might experiment with some other cards as well to see if they work better. Thanks for the great quality video

I'm putting the deck together atm and i hope it gets more support so it has a better chance against stronger decks. Also it could be less bricky :( feels like you kinda need to be really familiadized with the deck's matchups because you may lose for that one card you pitched or didnt grab from guidance (God how i wanted it to allow us to grab up to 3 cards)
So funny enough, a very similar deck went into EUIC championships. It's a little rough to get 100% right and definitely takes some time to get used to, but I would keep at it. Deck definitely has some promise and shows results!
@Voiddyn-Pokemon agreed! People have been playing it more on limitless events and it showed some good results and tech choices, like Thorton + Roaring moon ex which can be really clutch imo and gift energy that may help a lot, but it can be a bit clunky late game
