I have never been on a cruise yet but we are planning to go on our first one soon. There are so many cruise lines, destinations, ships, etc. to choose from it is quite the task trying to make any decisions. Videos like this are so useful in the decision making process. It depends on what you're looking how old you are if you have kids im 41 ill be 42 when im going on my next cruise and maybe one when im 43 but im at the age.where I still like the frills like water slides surf simulator etc. But im also going to more than enjoy the serenity adults only area and my next cruise will probably be on a princess cruise ship because that's a full service cruise line more forr adults than kids all cruise lines has some kid stuff but carnival and royal caribbean Disney cruise line are very child friendly and im going to be 42 for this cruise so i still like some frills
I was on Oasis of the Seas last year. Cafe Promenade is complimentary. The Starbucks was in a separate area and you have to pay.

Congrats on your upcoming cruise. We will be sailing in June but on the inaugural Alaskan cruise on the brand new NCL Bliss. Glad you found the video helpful. It seem there wasn't to much out on CZcams surrounding the subject so we saw a need.
You guys are adorable! I just paused your video to answer a question you asked: About the chicken nuggets.... The man may have suffered from food aversion disorder, a condition where the mind does not comprehend that food is food. Putting a gourmet meal in front of them would be like putting a plate of nails in front of you and asking you to eat them. It is common in autistic individuals, and one of the reasons I research so thoroughly for vacations, as my grandson has it. Personally, I can't imagine a life getting zero enjoyment from food, it sounds like hell. And thank you for inadvertently answering a question... they DO have something on board he will eat.

My Husband and I just got back from our 1st anniversary cruise aboard the Carnival Horizon. It was Top notch, we live in Florida, which is the capitol of the cruise line world. So we just have to hop in our car, anytime we want to take a cruise. Before the cruise we were in Las Vegas..So we had a super vacation year. We have traveled RCC a few times, what can you tell us about the Oasis and The Bliss..Don't forget to watch out for the Panarama on the west coast. The food on the Horizon was exceptional, we ate in the Steak House the first night, the steak was melt in your mouth delish, it came with a complimentarybottle of Wine and the Art on your table for desert all for just 35. each service was so good we extended our tip. So look out for the Horizons dining.
We have never traveled the Oasis...however we were on the inaugural Alaska Bliss cruise on June 2, 2018. You will find all 25 of our vlogs here on our CZcams channel, as well as a video of our final thoughts of the Bliss.
You guys are rock. I have my cruise experienced wayback 2 yrs ago "Voyager of the Seas" & its awesome. Believe me for the whole duration of our 5 days cruising never had paid any bucks in our snacks, meals, etc because their complimentary foods are all great and palatable. RCL is trully awesome cruise.
Cool...we are on a RCCL waiting list for a possible cruise in 2019.......need a handicap cabin.....has a great itinerary.

I live in Las Vegas and a Restaurant meal can cost you $60 a meal, $300 for a specialty restaurant. $25 is cheap!

Like anything in life, everyone will have a different opinion. We always say, form your own opinion based on your own experience. We rarely if ever read reviews on cruises anymore. We find that 1000 people will write a bad review to every 1 good review. It's just human nature to complain more than compliment. Sad really!!

Yes. You can use a pre paid dinner package at any of the specialty restaurants.

I have a question . I have OCD . I'm going on the Bliss from New York to the Bahamas on the 15th of March . Yes yes I'm a first timer . Going Solo !! Yayyy . Now my question is can I Wear water shoes to the pools and hot Jacuzzis . I can't get in them without water shoes . I would love to be able to enjoy that . If not it will stop me completely from doing that . Please reply. Thank you and keep the videos coming guys.
Don't see why not. We've seen people with their water shoes on...don't know who would say anything against it. But....every cruise line is different and every ship is different, so we can't give you a definitive answer on that one.

I am a total newbie to cruising!! I was wondering if there are limits to the number of meals you can eat? For example, if we have an early breakfast and get hungry again at 10 am, could we eat breakfast twice in the main dining room (do they limit the number of times you go by swiping or scanning in your sail card?). Similarly, if we have dinner at 5:30 pm and get hungry again at 8:30 pm, could we go to another complimentary venue (or even to the main dining room twice if we have "your time" dining?). Could we go to the main dining at 5:30 pm and then try a specialty dining venue at 8:30pm the same night? Thank you! :-)
Hi Lovejoy !!! You can eat every hour on the hour at ANY of the complimentary venues. (main dining rooms, buffet cafe, poolside cafe, etc.......) Anywhere FREE food is being served, any believe me.......there is food around every corner. Just remember, specialty restaurants will cost you $$$$, so if you want to eat there once or twice or 3 times.......you're paying extra for it, each time !!!!

I am so glad to have found you guys on CZcams I just want to say I appreciate the wealth of information you have given me I am planning my first cruise now with my step daughter we haven't settled on a destination yet but I have recently been diagnosed with stage 3 B ovarian cancer and just finished 6 months of chemo therapy my cancer is now in remission and I want to celebrate with a cruise something I have always wanted to do but never settled on I'm excited to go but concerned about traveling in my hover round my cancer has spread into my abdominal cavity and makes it difficult and extremely painful to walk I'm actually wondering if I should bring both my wheel chairs and if I'm aloud to ? I have a manual wheel chair as well that we assumed would be easier to use on beaches and certain ports where the boat doesn't dock but you take the smaller boats to land I will continue to watch your videos to learn as much as I can but again Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos you guys are awesome.😃
So glad you like our videos and welcome to the Cruising with Wheels family !!! We post every Tuesday & Thursday and alternate Saturdays (my Tales From the High Seas). I would suggest that you work closely with your travel agent (if you have one) to pick a cruise itinerary that has ALL ports that the ship will dock at. If the ship has to tender you into port....you probably will not be able to go. You would have to be able to go down the stairs to the tender boat and they have restrictions that prevent them from hauling your wheelchair onto the tender boat. Every time we have to tender in a port....i can't go, so Kevin goes on shore alone. As for taking both your wheelchairs......I can't see why not, but you need to contact the special needs dept. of whatever cruise line you decide to go with.

Haha- may the Schwartz be with you! Mel Brooks rocks! I was so disappointed there was no Boardwalk donuts on Oasis- they have Ben and Jerry's and a cupcake shop instead :( RCL does offer many choices. Hint- Starbucks have their own kiosks on larger ships and they accept Starbuck gift cards/coupons. I purchased on Groupon before we left - as I have a serious coffee addiction. On Oasis, Starbucks not included in the drink plans so buying a Starbucks gift card before you go helps manage the budget!
No Boardwalk Doughnuts on the Oasis??? Well thats a stinks!!! Kevin is very happy to hear about the Ben and Jerry's though. I can't believe we forget to mention them!! Good to know about the Starbucks gift cards. We get that question often.

Helloo...wow I'm soool glad came across you guys, you are wonderful. My daughter just booked her september 2018 wedding at the Allure of the Seas, do you happen to have some tips and/or info that will help us get our monies worth. Thanx a bunch guys, blessings.
A wedding at sea !!! How AWESOME !!! When you get on the ship, don't be bashful about going to guest services and asking for an upgrade to a higher level cabin (the ship might not be full). Also, take advantage of the Vitality Spa & Fitness center on port days. Usually cruise ships cut their spa treatments by 50% on port days. Also, we really plan out our trips, so we decide and book online before we sail, our specialty dinner reservations and possible excursions, as NOT to miss out on any experiences we want to do. if you wait till you board the ship.....you might not get what you want....might be sold out. Also, book a session with the ship's photographer and he will follow you around to take great shots that will last a lifetime. I hope we've given you some food for thought !!! Happy cruising and congrats to your daughter !!!! Please send us pics !!!

I just came back from a harmony of the seas and the was mediocre at best. I was told by someone who went on cruises with Royal Caribbean in the past that they had way better food in the past. I guess building the biggest ships in the world is not cheap so they had to cut the lobster and the ribeye from the menu
You never no....sometimes it's just a crap shoot, as to how the food, service, shows, etc....are going to be.
Lobster is still available on elegant night on all Royal ships 🚢
Simple question: Unless you eat at the so called specialty restaurants the meals (including the 6:00 seating and the 8:30 seating in the dining room) are included in the overall price, correct? And since I prepaid my gratuity I am not expected to tip right?
Yes, they are free restaurants and you have already paid your gratuities....no extra tipping necessary, unless you want to.

Starbucks Costs extra if its a "Starbucks" Shop . I was at the majesty of the seas a view years ago, there was a Café Latte tudes, they Had a view Starbucks Drinks in theire menu , it was included in my refreshment Package . But on the allure Last year in the Starbucks Shop. It was not.i like to See your Videos thank you!!!. Mary from Germany

at the specialty restaurants, if you wanted to try 2 different entries, can you do that or is there an extra cost? For instance, I've never had lamb. I could order it as my entree and also order the chicken entree to be safe.
Usually, at specialty restaurants....you are entitled to one item in every course. If you order (2) entrees...you're probably gonna have to pay extra for that 2nd one.
So for the room service, it's $7.95 delivery charge plus do I have to give the delivery guy a tip on top of that? So if I give him $5 , with tax etc it's really like $15 for room service?
We're not sure if the service fee is taxed or not. That being said...you can tip or not tip. We usually just order complimentary coffee & muffins in the morning and tip about $2.00
Y'all are ADORBS! :) I'm having a hard time finding a video that specifically touches on whether the RCCL dining packages are worth it, what they cover, what they don't, and how they work. We embark on Nov 11th and I still don't know if I should pull the trigger on a 3-night dining package. My hubby is a SUPER picky eater and very "thrifty" ;) but I want something nice! We've been married 7 YEARS and this will be our FIRST trip together alone EVER! Think we should splurge (he hates seafood, "boujee" food, most veggies, etc.) I can't find any videos that tell what the true value of the 3, 4 and 5 night dining packages is (not the Ultimate -- don't care about that.) Any suggestions or expertise?

No tickets required...but like anything else....book the reservation like you would a specialty restaurant.

Are the cruise ships really handicap accessible?
Yes they are. You just need to do your research on the specific ship you are considering booking.
If you prepay are you limited to what you can order?
If you pay the flat fee dinner charge ahead of time from home.....traditionally, you're entitled to 1 appetizer, 1 soup/salad, 1 entree, 1 dessert. If you order multiples (ex. 2 entrees) your account will be charged for the extra one you ordered. As a side note, if you have a dining package, and you are choosing to eat at an " a la carte restaurant " , along with a flat fee restaurant......you should always book your " a la carte " first, then your flat fees restaurants. This way, your dining package will cover $$$, your a la carte restaurants before your flat fee restaurants. (ex) 7 - night cruise: 3 dinner package.......say you have selected 4 specialty restaurants.....let your dinner package cover your a la carte dinners first and then book your flat rate dinners. This will save you money.

There are so many factors to that. Sometimes its good, sometimes it not so good.
Is Sorrento included in cruise package.
Sorrento is a complimentary venue aboard. It is included in the standard cruise fair. No additional package is required to dine at the venue.
