At the Olympics I watched this female Irish swimmer, Michelle Smith, take the gold medal in her event. I immediately cried doping. My Irish friends (who were happy for her as they should be) called me a racist. I didn't that coming from left field. Smith beat her personal best by 4 seconds. At that level it's impossible. Sure enough, a year later her gold medal was stripped away because of doping. I said it about Lance Armstrong. I said it about her. Look at Alex Rodriguez. He's earned $350 million playing baseball while doping. The world has amnesia and he is still making money hand over fist. It pays to dope.

Well on one hand we don't often see what a regular natural woman trained for years looks like since they do not participate as intensely or often as males in training. Until we see more natural trained females over years of training looks like we won't really know for sure. Some of the crossfit women could be indeed natural or perception may be skewed because the only "fit" girls are instagram models that do it for sex appeal not fitness, usually shying away from any and all upper body training.

I did valve and pipe repair all around the US for 3 yrs and many times was drug tested. Sometimes as much as 3-5x inside of 2 weeks. Observed drug screenings are uncomfortable at first but it is what it is. We used to call the techs Peter Gazers

I think a lot of athletes just take it cause they hit their natural limits and it’s still not enough to even get close to winning. So it’s like giving up completely on your career or use doping. Considering they have only a small window to participate in Olympics when they are young and at the peak performance a lot of them choose doping.
