The Lost Saint Of Necromunda (Ft. Fredrik Knudsen) - 40K Theories

- Following the fall of Cinderak City, a mysterious man known simply as The Prophet would lead the refugees on a pilgrimage to Necromunda’s religious capital of Hive Temenos, all while brandishing the bones of a seemingly long forgotten which radiated with an aura of divine power. But just who exactly was this so-called Lost Saint borne by The Prophet?

Necromunda is proof that you can make an interesting setting with deep lore and plenty of mysteries out of just one piece of 40k's setting.
And I don't care who disagrees- Necromunda's lore is some of the best, and it's absolutely the best GW game.
You misspelled Gorka Morka.
@@1IGG Gorkamorka sounds like a great game, I wonder if all 4 people that play it in North America would be willing to teach me.
Necromunda is proof its setting is so interesting that you can expand it and create an entire galaxy spanning setting that is also deep with lore and mysteries
Necromunda came first and 40k filled in afterwards
True they really put a lot of hints and lore into Necromunda
@@elijahherstal776 😆 iv only tried it once
I like the idea that the flash of light and him being saved after falling into a piece of machinery was real. But he didn't realize that it's actually an inbuilt safety mechanism inside the machine itself. Where if someone falls into a dangerous position in the machinery, the displacer field built into the equipment will automatically remove any organic pieces from being hurt.... But because no one knows how it works or that it's even there, he took it as being a holy miracle. would fit quite well with Warhammer 40ks setting.
i love this and then faith does the rest
That's a great idea 💡
"If you can survive in Necromunda..., then you are welcome here." - Qrow Branwen probably
What !? Fredrick Knudsen has resurfaced ?
Whenever a seemingly holy person pops up and does miracles and stuff, the Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy investigate to see if that guy is blessed by the Man-Emperor of Mankind... or another Chaos plot to dupe everyone again as usual.
Or a Xenos infiltrator.
Yes but this is Necromunda which is just Tusday to the Imperium in some random City with a small local Religion and their "small Religious bikering"
Good to see that Fredrik Knudsen is still alive. I was indeed worried.
He’s been streaming pretty often while the eve video’s graphics are getting finished
Necromunda is my absolute favourite part of 40k (at least where humans are concerned), but the Final Liberation soundtrack is what I'm really here for TBH. Such an awesome OST!
Thx 4 namedropping! Think i'll listen to the whole Album after ❤😊
@@arithmetikmilitantpoetry9548 NP my dude! It's full title is Warhammer 40k Final Liberation.
Looks like Warhammer went Down the Rabbit Hole👍
👏
@@MrJ6H thanks
Also two ideas you have not come up with is that the Lost Saint could be a Necron or the Prophet is a Chaos Psyker
TELL FREDRICK I LOVE HIS VIDEOS AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE EVE ONLINE VIDEO
Knudsen narrating necromunda! Nice!
Dude, the updated intro is fantastic… but I wasn’t expecting to hear Fredric Knudsen. XD
Oh that intro's been in use for a few months now. As far back as the Iyanden Newcomers video, in fact. But I'm glad you like it! ^^
Please keep on covering Necromunda! You're the only one who gives this setting some proper attention on CZcams, which is great, because this is probably the deepest and most insane setting GW has ever supporter and it's too full of interesting mysteries to be left in the dark.
I got 2 minutes in before it clicked that it was Fredrik Motherfuckin' Knudsen. Fuck yeah, I had no idea he was into 40k.
What the heck, how did you get Fredrik Knusden to voice a video for you?!
Fred was Eldrad plus minor roles in TTS.
Who?
I hope it isn't the bones of the Arch Zealot, because that means that the Emperor must have given some approval to the mad man.
What, you think that the emperor is reasonable?
The Emperor is so fragmented and in a state of constant unfathomable torment that I wouldn't be surprised if some of his fragments are batshit insane enough to not care about the morality of whomever they bless.
Or some other force…
That implies the emperor had a moral code against killing people who disagreed with him. The unification wars and purges show that is not the case.
Sorry featuring who now? Damn that's a cool collab.
Knudsen? A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
Sweet a Necromunda video. I love that setting
Thank you, and good to hear you, Mr. Knudsen!
Oh, I forgot to add a video suggestion, if you please. Will you consider covering Lady Credo's origins in the future? I have the feeling that most of the pieces have been scattered throughout the past publications, like she probably being the last Aranthus to whom the ogryn captain promised to fight till the end, but I can't make sense of her links to Vhoadycia and possibly the ancient Blades, or the voice she hears in her mind. It'd be fun to have your perspective in trying to piece everything together.
No-one seemed to have realized, but Deacon Malakev never wore a mask for some reason, while clearly being a Cawdor and member of the Redemption. Apart of that, a big part of the story of the Cawdor Zeke in the book Road to Redemption was that he refused to wear his mask after an incident in his past involving the Redemption.
I'll be honest, I've not read Road to Redemption yet, so that titbit is quite interesting. ^^
On an unrelated note, isn't Malakev a servitor now? (Or at least he looks like one with his new miniature, I can't remember off the top of my head with his lore so I'll need to double check lol)
I assum the next Warhammer 40k has a down the rabbit hole theme to it
Maybe, but Fredrick has been known to be a warhammer fan for a while. He voiced Eldrad in TTS and that was a while ago.
Good to see Fredrick again. There was that big pause after his collab with Project Melody.
Fredrick Knudsen is the closest thing to a father I've ever had
hope he won't go for a milk too.
I love the guy, I hope he makes more down the rabbit hole videos.
@@InquisitorXariusHis upcoming six hour DtRH vid on Eve Online is in postproduction.
@@mindwarp42 Nice
and for some reason whiny babies are getting all pissy he became a VTuber like “noOoO you BetRAyEd Us”
hilarious. look into it if you want a good laugh
Fredrik Knudsen is a legend. Love hearing that voice again
The Imperial cult is founded on the writings of Lorgar. I can help but notice the similarity of house Cawdor aesthetics and the Wordbearers legion. So maybe some sort of demonic prophet with a possessed skeleton sent to divide/unite the church of redemption? This kind of lines up with it being the machinations of Lady Credo and her "unseen master." 7:16
Plus, as the short story "Piety, Perverted" strongly suggests, Lorgar may well be taking advantage of this, and corrupting entire world's by rocking up as a false messiah with a legion of Astartes at his command.
It’s nice to hear Fredrik again
Zealot endagers general public. Zealot becomes outlaw. Zealot sees a proof for their claims. God emperor, i love 40k.
Space Game of Thrones in a nutshell.
well thats not some one i ever expected to see on this channel a pleasant surprise
Great to see a surprise crossover between 40K Theories and Down the Rabbit Hole.
Who next- a 40K Theories video narrated by Bruva Alfabusa?
Remleiz has gone Down The Rabbit Hole.
Fredrik K!? Holy crap, I guess we’re going down the rabbit (bolter?) hole!!! 😅
Ahh necromunda, endless stories of the insane
Cult of Redemption: *exists*
Death Korps of Krieg: "Amateurs, all of you. Let's show you how it's done. Fix bayonets!"
Really went ... down the rabbit hole ... with this one
hey NEW OPENING! Loved it Remlez!
Oh we've been using the opening for about 3 months now, but thank you ^^
Fredrick!!! Love this guy.
"Down The Rabbit Hole: Warhammer" will be good idea. GW have some bullshit done over time, also topic of early Warhammer being political parody of UK is interesting too.
FRED WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN
Last place I expected Mr Knudsen
At 0:55 i almost yell miau miau PURR! By the Emperor i miss your videos Fred.
Excellent episode!
Imperial Fists recruitment squad capturing a redemptionist cadet: we found one for the Black Templars.
YES!!!! MORE NECROMUNDA VIDS!!!
yooooo wtf, fredrik knudsen is still active?
Oh shit its Knudsen!
Considering how much 40K wears its inspirations on its sleeve, I find the "elaborate prop" theory to be the most likely.
The zealot preacher in Darktide has a same leather mask, if you unlock it.
Could he/her a member if the Redemror cult?
For sure! The Redemption was born on Necromunda, but it's steadily spreading across the galaxy with the countless soldiers and missionaries that leave the planet every day. Inquisitor Tyrus, for once, has a fervent redemptionist in his entourage called Malicant, who was stranded on a planet, where he founded a Redemption temple. Malicant moved on, but the temple and its congregation are still there to this day.
@@Pizzifrizzo To add to that, im fairly certain the Fanatic personality for the Zealot class is a member of the Redemption

Great vids guys cheers !! I love the same but different tittle bit!! Sorry if it’s not new 1 st time I’ve noticed it !!!
Me sees video: hurray necromunda!
Me sees guest: he lives!
You know, the artificial intelligence pandemic has gotten too big when you can't even tell when someone is actually voicing something instead of a computer modulated voice.
The Death Korps of Knudsen.
Fredrick Knudsen !!!
Yo where is new uploads!
Fredrik's still working on his next Down the Rabbit Hole episode, don't worry ^^. It's just the episode he's currently working on is over 6 hours long and he's waiting for an animator to complete their segment(s) before they can finalise it.
I like Fred, so I'll give some useful info in my algorithm offering -- it's 'Kika-tricks', Latinate pronunciation of C's is (almost always) a hard K-sound.
E: i.e. Caesar is 'Kai-saree', which is is where Kaiser and Tsar are likely derived
If the original Latin couldn't survive 2000 years without being changed, there's no way it could survive 40 000 years...

For a split second, I thought this videos thumbnail was for one of Zullie the witch's Elden Ring videos
Knudsen? Here?!
YOOOOO KNUDSON VOICED THIS???
The lost saint is clearly Arthur Brown. Same head dress. Same fascination for fire.
lol I always told my players no, if they wanted to be part of Cult of Redemption in Dark Heresy
But it might be fun to make a one-shot scenario
FUCK YEAH MY BOY FRED
wow the best reader on all of youtube. i can listen to this guy talk about anything.
Seeing this makes me remember that I need to get back into Necromunda lmao
wow
❤
There is no innocence only degrees of guilt.
I keep forgetting Down The Rabbit Hole is huge now because I swear he was not this big back when the Hurdy Gurdy video came out.
I think a few large parts of this video are based on a misapprehension. I'm fairly certain that the Cult of the Redemption is NOT the official Imperial Cult of Necromunda. It's entrenched in the Underhive, and House Cawdor follows the Redemption in all but name, but the planet at large follows a more traditional interpretation of the Imperial Cult. In fact, Vaults of Temenos goes into detail of many non-Redemptionist saints worshiped on Necromunda.
We never stated that the Redemptionist Cult is _the_ official version of the Imperial Cult upon Necromunda. The closest we ever came to that was stating that it had been adopted as the official religion of House Cawdor (which is true as per House of Faith and Gangs of The Underhive, which state that the Thane of House Cawdor is also the official head of the cult), and that the (Redemptionist) cult itself originated upon Necromunda.
@@40KTheories Oops, looking back on the video, I think I misheard what you said. Sorry.
Never thought id see Fredrik pop up on here but im more than glad lol
Fredrik Knusden is a very welcome surprise

OMG is Remy finally back?! Keep it coming and I may renew my Patreon
Did you see the Arkhan Land video we posted the other week out of curiosity?
I did not; I'll have to check. I'm just wondering if this is some free-time projects or if your permenantly back? :)@@40KTheories
@@spacemarine00 As back as often as I can be. Health took a bit of a downturn again in recent weeks. But there should be another theory video sometime next week, with luck.

Down the ripper hole...squighole?
As toxic and dengerous Necromunda is, the women there are hot as F 👀
They sell drugs, too.
Anybody else getting Saint Evisser vibes from this guy?
Isn't that an inquisitorial rosette on his hat? 🤨🤔
No, it's a Ministorum "I"
@40KTheories Well, that's another rabbit hole I'll be diving into now. 😁
Cheers and best wishes to your health inquisitor. 😃
Fred? I thought you died?!
Is there actual necromancy in Warhammer 40K?
Yes, just look at Mortarians homeworld of Barbarus which was ruled over by necromancer warlords.
Yeah, its Jeff.
comment for the comment god!
It's the bones of the first Phanta Claws.
Fred saying Necromoonda is almost as bad as Rem saying Tieranids
Mun, like Hun, as in atilla the hun, not, 'moon"

it's Lord Silas Pureburn and the remains of his sibling
There was a saint on Necromunda? No wonder the Ecclissiarchy kept it quiet!
Thought this was AI voiced for a minute 😅
fred is real again ?
Fredrik has time to do cameos but for the past 2 years uploaded nothing to his main channel. Shame.
His 6 hour long DtRH video on Eve Online is in postproduction, per recent updates from him.

What's this Necromoonda? Is it an offshoot game?
He can not pronounce Necomunda properly haha 😂
Still good vedio tho
Liar, liar, your head is on fire!
Where is Necromoonda. Is it on the moon, or is it a hive city populated by cows?
I swear to God ol freddy can feature on a different channel but won't upload to his main. Guess milking his patrons works instead of working
Fredrik's still working on his next Down the Rabbit Hole episode, don't worry. It's just the episode he's currently working on is over 6 hours long and he's waiting for an animator to complete their segment(s) before they can finalise it.
All that Fredrik did for this episode was record narration (which took him less than an hour) which isn't the same as producing an entire video, so please bear that in mind.
Cool story, yes! Creepy robo-voice, less-so
"Necro-MOON-da" 😆
