  • In this video, we take a look at the 2018 Audi A4 in the Prestige trim package. This is a full in-depth, detailed overview of this great offering from Audi.
    Be sure to check out my favorite detailing & tech products that I use on my S3 and CZcams Channel. www.amazon.com...
    In this video we discuss the exterior features of the A4, which includes the black optics package, LED headlights and LED sequential turn signals on the tail lights. We also talk about the black optics wheels that are offered as an upgrade package.
    On the inside, we discuss the virtual cockpit, 8.3" MMI screen, all the control for the HVAC system, which features touch sensitive buttons. We also look at the sport seats with the express red stitching. The interior is a fantastic place to be, with soft touch elements throughout the vehicle.
    The prestige trim package offers a full Heads Up Display HUD, which displays speed, traffic signs, and navigation information. This is an awesome feature and found myself using it constantly. The prestige trim also offers the interior led advanced lighting packages which allows the user to pick what color they want to light the interior up in. Prestige also offers the adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, which is great for those daily commutes to work.
    Engine power is ample in the all wheel drive models with 252 horsepower and 278 ft lbs of torque. This car is no slouch and easily merges into traffic. I was surprised with the amount of power that's offered in the A4 line.
    Overall, the A4 Prestige trim is a great offering from Audi. It is quite pricey with a starting price of $50k. I know I said I'd consider trading my S3 in on an A4, but I just got my S3 back from its 20k mile service and I'm glad I have the S3. I feel like the S3 has a little more character to it.

    I have to say.... ignore my comment toward the end of the video about trading my S3 in for an A4. I got my S3 back from its service appointment yesterday and instantly fell in love with it all over again. The S3 definitely has more character than the A4 and is much more nimble/fun to drive.

    • @bde21
      @bde21 Před 6 lety +1

      ThatBlueS3 as you might remember im a 2017 S3 owner and I was about to get upset at you for your comment towards the end but then I saw your written comment here so we are good! We’re cool!!!...That being said kinda similar to you I drove the s5 2018during my servicing and I abused it at much as possible.... didn’t like the sound, didn’t like how it was not nimble, didn’t like how it was ultra subtle....surprisingly though it was stable cornering at high speed!....with all that considered and even test driving an A4.... I think you and I are stuck on the S models for life! I cant see myself downgrading... on another note I totally chickened out on going 20% tint visibility on the front too (I had asked your opinion if I should change my front from 50% to 20% like my back) main reason though is that I may occasionally go out on Saturday nights have a drink or two....and I don’t want to get pulled over for my tints and get completely screwed...! Although you did mention that the S3 flies under the radar which is true... so I don’t know I’m still considering it!... maybe I just need a kick in the ass from you to do it!

    • @TheCenterLineAuto
      @TheCenterLineAuto  Před 6 lety

      Hahaha unfortunately I think I know what you mean about being stuck in the S models. I love the S5 sportback and I really like the S4. The cold start exhaust note sounds pretty good to me, definitely better than our S3s. As for the tint, gotta do what’s best for you man. I know some places are crazy strict with tint compared to others.

    • @bde21
      @bde21 Před 6 lety +1

      ThatBlueS3 com-on just tell me to tint the front 20%!!!.... and OMG the S5 Sportback is my dream car! So i found out a friend of my colleague is paying just 40$ more than me for his s5... so i freaked out and investigated.. i found out on your 3rd or 4th audi with the same dealer you get insane deals.m due to loyalty! You think that’s true?

    • @TheCenterLineAuto
      @TheCenterLineAuto  Před 6 lety +1

      I know that they have something like a 1k loyalty incentive, but that’s the only thing that I know about. Might be awhile before I look at another New Audi. The deprecation hit on these things is pretty crazy. Thinking CPO is the way to go in the future.

    Thanks for the review. I am finalizing a deal on a 2018 A4 Premium Plus. I had been searching for my next car for months and decided to go with the Audi for these reasons:
    1. Sporty German sedan with Quattro all wheel drive (I'm in the northeast).
    2. The test drive made me like the car even more.
    3. Better value than BMW and Mercedes for what you get.
    4. Virtual Cockpit with Google Earth
    5. It does look nice.
    Side note: I had been waiting for the US release of the 2019 VW Arteon, but I could not pass up the deal I was offered for such a car. VW said it was going to be a Q3 release, but my local dealer has been unable to confirm a specific date or month.

      Congrats man. You’re going to love the car. I really enjoyed my time with it. If you don’t mind me asking. What kind of deal were you able to get on the A4? % off MSRP wise. When I bought my S3 I was able to get about 6% off with a factory order, which I thought was pretty good at the time seeing that the facelift hadn’t come out yet.

    • @MikeBlue77
      @MikeBlue77 Před 6 lety +1

      ThatBlueS3 Hoping to finalize the deal this weekend. It is a lease. Working with two dealerships, I have been able to get between 12 and close to 14% off MSRP before any lease incentives. Since 2019 models are around the corner, some dealers in the northeast are being aggressive with pricing. Most folks are buying SUVs anyway.
