I've been stuck at home for the past 2 weeks and I started thinking about how much being trapped has made me appreciate the freedom of traveling that we used to have. Didn't know what to edit during these crazy times, so I thought I'd put together a video with some voice notes I had and Super 8 mm film footage from our road trip traveling New Zealand shot on Kodak 50D stock film. When people ask why I’m majoring in film, this is what I’m gonna show them.
What did you do before your major i wanna do some with cinematography and filming but too confuse to from where and i should do that.
Muhammad saad I’m majoring in film studies with a minor in entrepreneurship to hopefully start my own wedding videography business after school. I know some other common minors are business, digital arts, maybe com, just depends on what track you wanna take. A lot of colleges have great film programs even if they aren’t major film schools!

As a fellow traveler, I felt the same. Now that we're mostly stuck at home, I had time to appreciate what I did in the past. Not to mention me looking at my travel pics over and over again. therefore I watch this every day to cheer me up.
I'm planning on getting a Super 8 for my 18th birthday. Since forever, I've always had a camera in my hand, always filming everything, always trying to capture the beauty of our world in a way that will let the universe know we are here. I found Super 8 footage by accident on CZcams once and when I saw what this gorgeous film turned out to be, I fell in love. These are the types of films I want to create. Not the ones with narrative or plots, but the ones that capture the joy of being with friends and family. The candid moments. I'm that kid carrying an old camera around my neighbourhood or school, trying to capture the world.

Thank you for this. After spending a year and a half in NZ, I left my heart there. Being stuck in the house makes me feel numb in compare to the adventures we used to go on. The music, the commentary, the shots- gives me hope to one day be out there again, living life.

My dad was born in nz but raised in Canada, he went back to nz with all of his friends after high school and lived there for a few months in the 80s. This video reminds me of the photos he showed me a while back. Thanks for the great vibes man:)
