I'm genuinely impressed with this rig and your knowledge (as always)! It makes me sad to see how almost nothing made today actually have real wood cabinetry. This rig really is a beauty.
Real wood doesn't do well in constant temperature and humidity changes. But if you like it you like it! Real wood is not meant for automotive applications.
We ❤ our 2006 Monaco Diplomat!! We bought it based on your recommendation of sweet spot years! Build quality is excellent!! Keep these awesome videos coming, we really enjoy your detail inspection & personality! Very enjoyable! 😊
We have a 1997 Monaco Dynasty Barron 40' and it is about all original and the original metal mini blinds and those all work perfect and look perfect. Everything works perfect in this 26 yr old Monaco. We are so glad we bought an older high quality Motorhome instead of a newer one.
I personally like having the two sinks instead of one. I especially like having the one a little bigger than the other. On the one small side, you can trap water in to wash dishes. You don't want to waste any water you may need to use. In the other side, you may need to rinse something quite big, like a large baking pan.
I have no interest in buying an RV, but was fascinated by your tour of the roof! It was a literal cliff hanger hoping you wouldn't fall off, ha! Thanks for risking your life and sharing the inspection drama. 😎
I love this layout, never liked how the TV was always on a weird angle. This one everyone can sit and watch comfortably
Both of us learned something new from every video you make !!!
Our 07 Diplomat has been great. Solidly built class A.
Good looking Monaco. Thank you for the tour James and Integrity RV. Happy trails!
It is really interesting to see the developments in this industry in terms of floorplans, interior finishes, chassis' and especially technology. Thanks for the step back in time. 🙂
Very nice looking motor home. I wonder if the end caps had a repaint a few years ago. Looks like the slide was in the out position for some time and birds liked it for a home. It is nice to see it in that nice of condition, I know if I had it for the last 13 years it would not be that nice if my kids and grandkids, pets etc ever went in it. Stay safe and healthy James.
It's always great to hear your thoughts on RVs - you've got a wealth of knowledge!
Nice, I have a very rare beast as well, 2011 Camelot on a roadmaster chassis, disc brake, side mount rad. 425 Cummins with no Def
Nice coach, thanks for the tour James
She sure is a beauty! Thanks James
Always enjoy viewing and learning on your channel James. Thank You for your effort in producing these videos. Best wishes always and be safe.
I thoroughly enjoyed your inspection James and,as usual learned more than I bargained for in the process. I’m really into older RVS that are low mileage and have been loved by their previous owners. If you set aside some money for future renovations I think it would be very worthwhile. I just love the solid woods and the new RVS just can’t match the craftsmanship. If I was in America now I’d definitely go and view this as my first buy as long as you remained my inspector and helped plan any repairs or upgrades. I’ll be over soon and would like to find something special especially as prices are dropping from the outrageous costs since the pandemic.
Keep well and safe please & I look forward to seeing you soon ✈️🙌🏼💞😊💫
Thanks for the informative inspection James. I have a 2011 Knight with the roadmaster chassis as well. That unit looks so much like mine except for the tag axle. Mine also has three heat pump ac units like the front two you mentioned. Unfortunately mine does have the Maxxforce 10 engine. 57000 and no problems so for .......! Thanks again for making this video. Love watching them all.
Great informational video. Thanks Don
Reminds me of a Fleetwood 40X floorplan, one of my favorites!
Love the cabinetry!
Thanks for the review. This unit is very similar to the 2010 Holiday Rambler Endeavor that I enjoy.
Thanks for the great review(s.)
Fleetwood 40x layout. Interesting!
Loved it !
Nice rig.
I have been watching your channel for about 2 weeks. The information you provide is so incredibly helpful. You are clearly an old hand at this, and seem to love it. I am now confident in my choice to purchase an older luxury class A motor coach, rather than a new 5th wheel.... and the things I should be looking for with certain coaches.
I realize you are not a chassis expert ( just watched the Prevost chassis inspection), but there is something specific I have not yet seen in one of your videos.
BLACK tank inspection.
Is this an issue on older coaches? There wouldn't be the "buzz" of 10+ year old RV's being banned from certain RV parks if not for the possibility of leaks. I know a lot of the coaches have foam padding on the chassis, protecting such things from road damage. I just want to know if it is an issue.
How long do these things last? How often do you find 20 year old RV's with a leak in the gray or black tanks? What would I look for, if something other than the obvious decay of the spray foam, or smell?
If that is something others have asked, would you consider doing a short on this topic?
Thanks for all the great content! On your advice, I decided to make my next rv a monaco and found a reallty clean 06 Neptune ( I know its not the flagship). Have you ever put a washer combo in a 36pdq? Where do I drill the vent hole....any idea??
Yes, you are right, it is a beautiful and well-maintained Monaco Diplomat. We own a 2016 model and have a question: where can we access the air filter for replacement, and how can we assess the condition of the belts? I presume the air filter is located behind the bathroom floor at the back."
Is there a dishwasher? You need a double sink if there's no dishwasher. One side has the soapy water, the smaller side is the clean water rinse sink. You only need one large sink if there's a dishwasher.
You did not show us the generator. I’m good it’s always nice to see stuff.
It would be great if you could show some of your RVs with the slides in.
Also if you could talk about very rough estimates of costs to repair items you find. My wife and I are in the market and would love to know these things. We are looking in AZ for a snowbird AZ storage unit.
Man… every time he walks by that edge… I would need pull-ups to even get close to doing that
Great video you didn't give the DOT#s on the tires I would be interested in seeing that sense it has such low milage
Beautiful Monaco, a bit of a unicorn! Appreciate the inspection and tour James. Probably a leftover Roadmaster chassis during the transition I am guessing. Love the wood treatments and the galley layout. The quality speaks volumes. Fridge near the cockpit is amazing! Congrats to the old owner for their care on such a coach, but also to the new owner on scoring this excellent motorhome!
What do ya think about flex seal on roof ?
i truly value all of you vids i am working my way through them all. We loved our 2004 monaco knight 38PDQ unfortunately my laptop caught on fire last year in july that was inside the coach at a country music festival here in utah and it was a total loss by the time i got to it. We have since purchased a 2006 Monaco Camelot 38PDQ and we are still fixing small things and slowly on our way to making it as enjoyable as our last. Near the beginning of this video you mentioned that maybe the windshield had been fixed the issue that i have with my 2006 one piece windshield is that the original owner said that the windshield had poped out and he had replaced it at least 2 times currently the one on it is what i call stess cracked could this be the same issue and if it is the same issue how do i get that fixed aside from replacing it agin and again? also what do you like or dislike about cable slides and gear drivin roll out slides thaks in advanced and keep up the great content.
Nice
I’ll stick with my Beaver but I am jealous of that white roof over my fiberglass roof that someone put a sealer on with a muddy mop. Just say’n
Thanks James
Stupid CZcams just realized they haven’t told me about your last few weeks of videos
I'll take it!!!!
How much was it? It would be interest to know what something like that would be priced. Great content as always
What wax do you recommend for the roof and how often do you need to reapply?
The videos are great and have saved me thousands. Question about Fiberglass roofs , can they delaminate from the lauan because of heat(SUN) or is it just a water/leak issue.
gel-coat delam is different from filon delam, but heat time and water can cause it
Water damage on the interior driver side left window, below? Looks like the fabric or the material is bubbling over the controls? @14:31
I'm surprised about the topper condition with that low mileage. Almost seems like it was used as full time living but not changing locations. Though the paint job doesn't seem like it was full time. Really weird conditions with this one. Looks pretty good though.
? When you do a inspection and recommend fixes do you include a cost to the fixed.
I noticed some window seals have failed, which is also pretty common, but not really economical to fix.
Hey James this is James again I am looking at a 2004 country coach. 36 Pennington is there anything I need to look for ?
What is the benefit of a tag axle? How far are you from the cities of Prescott Valley and Phoenix; I may require your inspection services.
Hi James I would like your advice. I have a 2003 Beaver Emerald Marquis on the front cap radius where it meets the roof has a crack. this is on both sides. How would you recommend a repair. I am curranty in Mesa AZ. next too Cassone.
Sounds like the body work cracked, it would need to be ground out, fiberglass repaired, filled and painted. Cassone's should be able to do that work.
Yes VERY nice, but can I buy it for a dollar?! 😱😝😁🤪🤣👍👍🇺🇲
Thoughts on a 2000 Western Alpine 38FDDS 8.3 ISC Cummins
Western Rec was just a few years away from some really nice builds, overall they are fine and built to high standards of the time, I just find them a bit to safe when it comes to design.
Curious what the price is ? TY
Great video, I always learn sooo much! You said to wax the fiberglass roof. Besides washing, is there anything that you would treat a TPO roof with afterwards?
The passenger seat swivels into the fridge door kind of restrictive !
Nice! Definitely not an entry level diesel pusher. Only thing concerning is the low miles.
Looks like it lived in the Northwest. Not to much sun and miss growing on things. Like most rv’s it did a lot of sitting.
Love them but no super-sized 🤣.
Dying market, that could be free and most wouldnt be able to keep it going, money pits. You can hot the road for way cheaper (even if it was free)
you need a body cam, make it much easier to vid
Not a bad deal for $140,000
navistar is junk. Roadmaster is good.
All that wooden cabinetry is probably worth more than all the furniture in my house 😂😂
