- Minecraft Wii U Edition is a game that changed my life. This video is a very important and sentimental for me. In this video, I talk about Minecraft Wii U from it's History, Gameplay, Features, and more! I started CZcams back when I was 10 years old, I would make so many videos of me and my friends on the Wii U having the time of our lives and making memorable experiences. All I had was a Wii U and Minecraft Wii U Edition was the first time I ever made friends online and many are still here now. Minecraft Wii U Edition will forever have a legacy and that is what it gave me and many others, a great time to look back on and to cherish that and look toward the future.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition was the edition of Minecraft developed by 4J Studios and Mojang Studios for the Wii U. It was announced on December 7, 2015, and released on December 17, 2015 for US$29.99 on the Nintendo eShop. A retail disc version was released on June 17, 2016. This edition was bundled with seven add-on packs, and sixteen additional packs were also available as downloadable content. Exclusive content based on Nintendo properties was also available for the game: a mash-up based on the Super Mario franchise was released in May 2016. Due to the Nintendo eShop for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS no longer allowing the purchasing of titles as of March 2023, this game can no longer be purchased on the Nintendo eShop. Users who previously purchased it are still able to download it.

The voice chat in Minecraft Wii U Edition was life changing. I made so many friends. Even in the spanish speaking community to which I belonged, we were many. I was known to some extent for making servers thanks to Miiverse. Every friend of the 100 limit in my friend list was someone I played with actively. Good friendships. Some very rich friendships. It was my life. And it didn't felt like we were just a few. In my last server, no bs, 235 played in total. Almost all were active. Ofc its a small number but think about ppl that know many of the others closely and who see every week/day. It really was a community.
A little late to the party, but I'll say that this game was something special. This game meant so much to me & my cousins as this was one of our favorite games to play together after I had moved away. The fact it had in game chat as well was a big plus!
It wasn't my 1st Minecraft Editions I played (Pocket Edition was 1st) but it has left the biggest impact.

Finally someone made a video on this edition, I was so sad when it shut down. When I saw that message that said the servers were discontinued it felt like my soul was crushed
I definitely would never play the minigames bc hackers but i miss having the option, same with playin with old friends bc they wouldnt be on anyways
Playing right until the end even hours after the shut down. When my game crashed and then it told me the servers are gone that definitely hit. Thanks for Watching!

The Minecraft Wii U version of legacy was actually so amazing because from what I’ve seen the mini game lobbies were more alive than the other ones and you didn’t even need to pay to play online. Modding the game was easy asf and it ran okish. Truly an amazing port of the game on the console.
The end of miiverse really hurt Minecraft Wii U because it was way harder to interact with others as widely. The only way you could really find people to play with was joining random ppl on the mini games or searching online to find a community.
Guys search how to get a pretendo account on your Wii U without the use of mods. It’s super easy!
Imo, wii u had the worst performance of all legacy versions. Dont get me wrong, i love it to death, but the minigames in particular have far more fps drops and input delay compared to even the xbox 360
@@laggianputI only played Wii U Edition so I don’t really have any point of reference but I never got fps drops in most minigames unless someone had a modded skin or map, the one exception is tumble were sometimes because of too many particles it could go slower but it was fine overall
Also I just remembered that Legacy Edition was on the Vita so that one has the worst performance unarguably
I remember when I played this with my brother, and you could change the settings so you could fly on survival mode and I got so confused when survival players on Java complained about not being able to fly

You just forgot to mention how Miiverse made finding people to play with possible. The other consoles had less of a community because they didn't have a proper way to find other people.
