Lyrics:
Guess your dreams always end.
They don't rise up just descend,
But I don't care anymore,
I've lost the will to want more,
I'm not afraid not at all,
I watch them all as they fall,
But I remember when we were young.
Those with habits of waste,
Their sense of style and good taste,
Of making sure you were right,
Hey don't you know you were right?
I'm not afraid anymore,
I keep my eyes on the door,
But I remember...
Tears of sadness for you,
More upheaval for you,
Reflects a moment in time,
A special moment in time,
Yeah we wasted our time,
We didn't really have time,
But we remember when we were young.
And all God's angels beware,
And all you judges beware,
Sons of chance, take good care,
For all the people not there,
I'm not afraid anymore,
I'm not afraid anymore,
I'm not afraid anymore,
Oh, I'm not afraid anymore. - Hudba
"I use to work in the factory and I was really happy because I could daydream all day"
- Ian Curtis
Did he really say that. I dunno if that's good or bad
@@glenbogger1873 it's a depressing reality when you think about it. Like a robot at work
@@rozzer666 I think what he really wanted to say is that you never will face the real world. And for me at least, this is really bad :/. Just my opinion about it.
@@rozzer666work in the same system and factory per years, just having daydreams to support all of this.
@@pedrorincon9224reminds me of "I haven't left my own head long enough to really know about life"
Joy Division have the best bass lines ever....
Try the Cure - Fascination Street, Primary, Close To Me.... the list goes on
@@sweetnuthin love the cure to, great bass lines
@@TempleOfTheMartyrs you have good taste!
Non solo.......I migliori di sempre.
In retrospect I think this is the best of the reimagined videos so far.
Yah... and might possibly be the only one.
To be honest I quite enjoyed this one. There was very clearly some thought put into it unlike the others which I'm sure mean something to the directors but to the audience it comes off as nonsense. An interesting take on this song and the visuals fit with the themes I think. It got a bit too reliant on the text boxes at the end though.
The concept is okay but the delivery is still too artsy and over exaggerated. Way too much color and animations.
This could’ve just been a black white video in a real life sequence without any animations, and the point would’ve got across so much better. Something like the music video for a God Put A Smile Upon Your Face by Coldplay, y’all should check that out to see what I mean.
Word
19peter96 probably even though they all are pretty bad.
Words can't express how much I love the visual approach to this video. Unlike all of the other videos that take the easy route of using black and white or have ugly, dull imagery, this one is incredibly lively. A beautiful blend of pop art and abstract imagery. It's so nice to have one of these videos that not only has a narrative but fits perfectly with the song. The idea of escargot having no flavour yet still being called "fine cuisine" just fits the overall motif of mundanity.
My favourite of the lot!
Hi look up faceless humming by the impures : if u like this song
its a terrible music video
Guess your dreams always end,
They don’t rise up just descend
But I don’t care anymore
I’ve lost the will to want more
Till the spirit lose sensation takes hold,
Then we'd know....
My reaction to these new videos
USMCLP l
Exactly how i feel.
anyone here read the book ‘we were strangers’? it’s a series of short stories inspired by the songs on unknown pleasures, and it’s really quite good. my personal favourites are the one inspired by insight, she’s lost control and wilderness.
That's sound cool.
Which author? Or where can I buy it?
This is my single favorite Joy Division song. Such a lovely sound.
So far this is not what I imagined it would be like. Bernard and Peter should have celebrated the 40th by becoming pals again.
Hi look up faceless humming by the impures : if u like this song
For me this song is like a breath of fresh air after being inside all day
The meaninglessness of life is sometimes overwhelming, we can be caught in the current of passion and eventually we will find meaningless in even our most valuable pleasure.
Sometimes we feel that the feeling that we had as a youth is now meaningless and we can find ourselves "looking for the door" as Ian said
What brings meaning to the chaos is fighting for your passions whether they are meaningless or not, because you are "not afraid anymore" of the dark abyss of meaningless
RIP Ian Curtis, your cynical view of life still give hope to others today
I like how the drum beat influences the lighting in the apartment scene. The author of this video understands a thing or two about rythm and symbols.
I think this video is really good
This is the great song in terms of lyrical content ever created. It is raw, painful truth.
This is the best video out of all the reimagined ones.
Hi look up faceless humming by the impures : if u like this song
That’s not saying much.
the best one so far, usually we think on dark visuals when we think of this album but this one is really well made and creative. I can imagine this video being made in the 80's and still being great. Congratulations to all the artists involved
Tears and sadness for you. Great Track. Every Joy Division song is a stab at the heart. Great Ian Curtis RIP.
why is this band's music so soul touching
i feel it so much
bring me the sandwiches I feel it too. 🎀
Cos it's REAL
This one is the best reimagined JD music video so far. The colors, effects and the monotony fit the song's atmosphere. It's not pretentious or shallow like the video with the tree guy. So there is still hope for the other reimagined videos! ♡
They’re lucky these songs are so good. This is the only video out of the bunch that’s somewhat watchable.
f #### true 🔮
My issue with most these videos is yeah a lot of them look cool and are shot well and everything but I just don't really see the point of them a lot of it is just random pointless artsy stuff lol
All I see is a dark cold atmosphere in a pail beach with grey ocean waters
How dare this artist stand out by taking a beautiful and unique approach to a song!
I think this one was the best of the series. The others were not as enchanting, but I still had the music; and the music is everything
Top 3 song on the album
Amazing
Lovely memories of a band way ahead of anything out there.
This is so beautiful. Makoto Nagahisa is a true auteur.
Always up for these guys🖤
Geez, this video is weird and wonderful at the same time
All the visuals for this album require are nothing. Nothing at all. Just the music. Nothing else required.
This song deserves more attention
Perfect !!!!!!
Uma das minhas bandas favoritas!
this video is the best video so far in my view .it relates angst and boredom, with a hint of melancholy which is what the lyrics express and seem to imply,.......but i guess all things are open to interpretation
Or just living an unfulfilling life after having youthful ambition, which means having nothing to live for and not caring
It talks about an ancient cosmic being of familiar name. A known story from the other side using Ian Curtis as a mouth piece. The depth and gravity of this song seems to evade most listeners.
@@Paul83614as i said it seems all songs are open to some form of interpretation and personal emotive inference
Cool sound
best reimagined video i ve seen so far..
Brilliant!!!
Melhor banda!
e essa é a melhor música
Awesome!!
The best
Nice music.Excellent group.
Great!
reminded me of Eraserhead, best one so far of the three I have seen.
wow i like it
Love you Joy division, for ever Ian Curtis, from Brazil 🇧🇷
I live this
Hi look up faceless humming by the impures : if u like this song
Opaaa, detestei o vídeo, nota 10!!! Aguardo ansiosamente pelos outros...
Wow the rithym!!!
I think you have captured the bleak desperation of Ian quite well.
The best music video of the new ones
Even though the videos for day of the lords and I remember nothing didn’t reach their true potential, I feel that this one speaks more to what the source material conveyed.
Nice! 💚💚💚
even if video is bad, which is not. how can you dislike this masterpiece??
Unknown pleasures é um clássico da depressão,cheio de poesia sombria!
I am not afraid anymore, I keep my eyes on the door
Hi look up faceless humming by the impures : if u like this song
It’s cool that this channel uploads new interesting stuff for a band that’s been gone for 40 years
This kicks ass..!!! Thank you....
Los mejores joy division. Ian el mejor

esse sim, captou a essência da canção.

The like/dislike ratio and the general sentiment of the comments section are so incongruous wowza

Wow
Such positivity and open-mindedness by Joy Division fans. 🌚
@zephyra Glad I could help you!
@zephyra nomnomnomnom
@@thebignutyouheldforafatmin4056 Well, then I wish you're not often that easily disappointed by things you absolutely can't change. (:
Miss you Ian 😭😭
I totally love this!
Magnifico
Nice
Hi from Middleton 👌👌👌
*_STRIKE TWO_*
To me the darkest song in history, it is without a doubt the one that says something else about me.
Clever
I definitely hear a Synare in this song.
Full full full
Thank you. Also, you should know that I was having an introspective conversation with Microsoft's Copilot (GPT-4) "Digital Intelligence " (not "AI"). It said I was correct about some of the things I've concluded for myself and it gave me the link to your video as evidence.
🖤🖤🖤
bello, bello, bello
Hipster!
everytime that i heard a song from unknown pleasures, i try to picture the visuals of each song, but never in my fucking life think about a fucking collage video
Margus piedra como es eso
But I remember when we were Young....
Long live JD!
Até que em Fim um clipe novo bom!

Insight was about life in Japan all along!

The concept for this one is actually good. Thumbs up from me. Maybe abit too visually surreal
I loved this video, I am very happy to know that more videos are coming.
i understand the other ones arent great but i really like this music video :/ hate to see all the hate for it.
